Adam Carolla to Host Live Innovative Interactive Talk Show on Spike

"Adam Carolla Builds Stuff Live" Features Adam Carolla and His Friends Tackling New Build Projects In A Creative And Engaging New Format

New York, NY, April 7, 2016 - It's an interactive talk show meets a build show meets a LIVE comedy show with one of funniest personalities on television, Adam Carolla.

Spike will team up with the producers of "Talking Dead" to launch a new and innovative LIVE series starring Carolla in 2017. "Adam Carolla And Friends Build Stuff Live" will feature the renowned television, radio and internet personality taking on building projects with celebrity friends in need of his carpentry expertise.

Carolla recently served as host of the Spike original series, "Catch a Contractor," and is a passionate master carpenter. He will showcase those skills along with his comedic commentary and wit each week as he works side-by-side LIVE with a different celebrity. Carolla will also engage with fans on social media who have their own carpentry questions.

Carolla will also serve as an Executive Producer along with Michael Davies and his Embassy Row Productions.

Spike has ordered 10 one-hour episodes which will debut in 2017. The series will be broadcast LIVE from Los Angeles and will include taped segments illustrating the prep-work that went into that week's building project.

Carolla currently hosts "The Adam Carolla Show" which is one of the most popular and downloaded podcasts in the world. He has starred in and produced such television series as Comedy Central's "The Man Show," "Crank Yankers" and MTV's "Loveline." He has also written directed and starred in feature films, including "The Hammer" and "Road Hard." Carolla is also a New York Times best-selling author for his books, having written In 50 Years We'll All Be Chicks, Not Taco Bell Material, and President Me: The America That's In My Head.

Davies is the President of Embassy Row, a division of Sony Pictures. He has an extensive resume that includes "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire," " Talking Dead," Cutthroat Kitchen," "Watch What Happens Live," "Men In Blazers," and "Garbage Time with Katie Nolan."

Sharon Levy is Spike's Executive Vice President, Original Series, Chachi Senior is Senior Vice President of Original Programming for Spike and Justin Lacob, Vice President, Original Series will oversee "Adam Carolla And Friends Build Stuff Live" for the network.
