JUSTIN BIEBER TO PERFORM MEDLEY OF NEW SINGLE 'COMPANY' AND HIT SONG 'SORRY' AT '2016 BILLBOARD MUSIC AWARDS' ON ABC

Ludacris and Ciara to Host the Award Show Live from T-Mobile Arena on Sunday, May 22 at 8:00 p.m. EDT / 5:00 p.m. PDT

Billboard and dick clark productions announced today that global superstar Justin Bieber will perform a medley of his new single "Company" and his chart-topping hit "Sorry" at the "2016 Billboard Music Awards." The show will broadcast LIVE from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on SUNDAY, MAY 22 (8:00 p.m. EDT / 5:00 p.m. PDT), on ABC. For the first time in Billboard Music Awards history, viewers on the West Coast will watch the show live along with fellow fans on the East Coast. This year's show, which will be hosted by hip-hop artist Ludacris and international music sensation Ciara, will showcase big performances, unexpected collaborations and much-discussed pop culture moments. Bieber joins previously announced performers DNCE, The Go-Go's, Shawn Mendes and P!nk, who will debut her new single "Just Like Fire" from Disney's "Alice Through the Looking Glass."

Global superstar Bieber released his latest album "Purpose," on November 13, 2015. "Purpose," opened at No. 1 in over 100 countries around the world, and has gone on to sell over 7 million copies globally in just five months. "Purpose," shattered global streaming records and has yielded three consecutive No. 1 singles in the U.S. - "What Do You Mean," "Sorry," and "Love Yourself." In late 2015, those three tracks landed at No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3 on the U.K. singles chart, surpassing a record previously held by The Beatles and making Bieber the first artist to ever accomplish such a feat. In February, Justin won his first GRAMMY(R): Best Dance Song for the "Purpose," track "Where Are You Now." Justin Bieber was recently named the first artist to reach 10 billion views on VEVO. In 2014, Justin was ranked by Twitter as the No. 1 most tweeted about musical artist of the year. He has released five No. 1 albums to date and has starred in two films, "Never Say Never" (2011) and "Believe" (2013). In 2011, he was nominated for the Best New Artist GRAMMY. In 2013, Bieber received a Diamond award from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) to recognize his single "Baby" as the best-selling digital song of all time with over 9.3 million copies sold. That same year, he was also awarded a Teen Choice Award for "Choice Male Artist" and "Choice Single: Male Artist" for his song "Beauty and a Beat."

Billboard Music Awards finalists are based on key fan interactions with music, including album and digital songs sales, radio airplay, streaming, touring and social interactions on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Spotify and other popular online destinations for music. These measurements are tracked year-round by Billboard and its data partners, including Nielsen Music and Next Big Sound. The awards are based on the reporting period of tracking dates March 23, 2015, through March 17, 2016, and Billboard chart dates April 11, 2015, through April 2, 2016. Since 1940, the Billboard charts have been the go-to guide for ranking the popularity of songs and albums, and are the ultimate measure of a musician's success.
