GSN TO LAUNCH FIRST SPINOFF SERIES FROM "SKIN WARS" FRANCHISE; "SKIN WARS: FRESH PAINT" DEBUTS WEDNESDAY, JUNE 15 AT 10PM ET/PT

Three "Skin Wars" All-Stars Introduce Six Professional Artists to Body Painting Each Week and Help Them Compete for a $10,000 Prize In One-Hour Series Hosted By RuPaul Charles

May 4, 2016, SANTA MONICA, Calif. - GSN, the leader in game shows and competitive entertainment, announced today the debut of the new one-hour skill-based competition series SKIN WARS: FRESH PAINT, the first-ever spinoff from the network's hit series SKIN WARS. Hosted by master of transformation, RuPaul Charles, the new series will debut Wednesday, June 15 at 10pm ET/PT, immediately following a new episode of SKIN WARS.

SKIN WARS: FRESH PAINT features three of SKIN WARS top former contestants who mentor six new, highly accomplished artists each week. These artists are at the top of their game in their own disciplines, but will leave their creative comfort zones to compete in body painting for the first time, attempting to win the $10,000 prize at the end of each show and become a Skin Wars: Fresh Paint Champion.

In each self-contained episode, the three Skin Wars All-Stars will work with artists from a variety of backgrounds and skillsets and give them a crash course in body painting. They'll help their mentees navigate through several rounds of intense competition, pushing them to apply their talents to the human canvas in innovative ways. It all culminates in a final challenge where the remaining two artists must put all they've learned to the test, completing a full body masterpiece on their own. In the end they'll be judged by international master body painter Emma Cammack and art critic Mat Gleason, founder of the renowned Coagula Art Journal and contributor to The Huffington Post.

"We are so excited to bring our Skin Wars fans a new skill-based competition with vibrant, talented contestants who span across a myriad of artistic disciplines," explains Amy Introcaso-Davis, Executive Vice President, Programming at GSN. "And RuPaul is the perfect host for this show, since there's no better example of someone pushing their creative boundaries to the limit."

"Our ability to do SKIN WARS: FRESH PAINT is a direct result of the ongoing success of 'Skin Wars,'" says executive producer Michael Levitt. "Fans of the show will be treated to some incredible art by some of the most creative talents in the country and we're thrilled to provide this platform for them."

The six artists participating in week one include fine artists Emily Moore of Orange, CA and Andi Goud of San Clemente, CA, automotive airbrush artist Cory Saint Clair of Roanoke Rapids, NC, food artist Vivian Pham of San Jose, CA, professional illustrator Michael Phillips of Laguna Beach, CA and artist/designer D. Hodges of Atlanta, GA. Additional artists to be featured later in the season include graffiti artists, cartoonists, tattoo artists, and street artists, among others.

SKIN WARS: FRESH PAINT is executive produced by Michael Levitt of Michael Levitt Productions ("Skin Wars," "Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List," "Ask Oprah's All Stars"), Jill Goularte, Kate Kenny and RuPaul Charles.
