CNBC'S "BINGE" COMING JUNE 6...
Carl Quintanilla Takes on the Intersection of Entertainment and Commerce in a New Digital Video Series
Season One Features Brian Grazer, Andy Cohen, Jason Blum, Garry Marshall & Jane Rosenthal
Englewood Cliffs, N.J., May 25, 2016 - In this world of content overload, everyone is talking about the hottest new thing to binge. But, with the rapid changes in media consumption, production and distribution, CNBC's new Digital series Binge tackles the question everyone is trying to answer... where is it all going?
Debuting June 6, Binge, hosted by CNBC's Carl Quintanilla, taps into the cultural conversation around all things content. Quintanilla sits down with some of the industry's greatest content creators to discuss the ever-evolving media landscape and the new challenges they are facing when it comes to figuring out how best to get their content into consumers' hands. Quintanilla also looks at the impact of social media and how it can help--or hurt--the success of a project.
"It's probably the most exciting time in media since the mass adoption of TV," said Quintanilla. "At work or with friends, people always ask, 'What are you BINGE-watching?' And with this new series, Binge, we want to help viewers understand this new era through the eyes of those making the content. For TV junkies and film buffs, THIS is the conversation you always wanted to have."
Season One of Binge features interviews with film and television producer Brian Grazer; host, producer and author Andy Cohen; film producer Jason Blum; director and producer Garry Marshall; and Tribeca Productions co-founder Jane Rosenthal.
The full five-episode season can be binged on CNBC.com/binge, Apple TV, Hulu and YouTube beginning June 6th. Excerpts of the interviews will air on CNBC's "Squawk Alley" (M-F, 11AM-12PM ET).
