NEW YORK, NY, June XX, 2016 - VH1 announced today that iconic rapper Lil' Kim will be honored at VH1 HIP HOP HONORS: ALL HAIL THE QUEENS. Lil' kim completes the lineup of honorees joining previously announced artists Queen Latifah, Missy Elliott, and Salt-n-Pepa.

After a six-year hiatus, the revered VH1 HIP HOP HONORS is back celebrating the best and brightest in hiphop with a twist. This year's live event will pay homage to the female pioneers, trailblazers and trend-setters who led a movement and infiltrated the ranks of the male-dominated genre to make their voices heard and still do today. The final female artist being honored will be announced tomorrow.

Lil' Kim is a Grammy Award winning, multi-platinum rapper, singer, actress, and fashion icon. Her debut studio album Hard Core went double platinum and spawned three consecutive number 1 rap hits - a record for a female rapper. She is one of the only female rappers to have released at least three consecutive platinum albums and she just released the acclaimed mixtape #LILKIMSEASON and will be seen across the country this summer as part of the Bad Boy Reunion Tour.

"VH1'S HIP HOP HONORS" will air Monday, July 11th at 9PM ET LIVE FROM NY.
