"LOOKING: THE MOVIE" WRAPS UP THE ACCLAIMED SERIES WHEN THE FEATURE-LENGTH FILM DEBUTS JULY 23, EXCLUSIVELY ON HBO

After living in Denver for nearly a year, Patrick returns to San Francisco for the first time to celebrate the wedding of old friends. In the process, he must face the unresolved relationships he left behind and make difficult choices about what's truly important to him.

Starring Jonathan Groff (Tony Award nominee for "Hamilton," HBO's "The Normal Heart"), Frankie J. Alvarez ("Smash") and Murray Bartlett ("August"), LOOKING: THE MOVIE wraps up the story of three close friends who explore the options available to a new generation of gay men seeking fulfillment in love and life. From filmmaker Andrew Haigh ("45 Years"), the exclusive HBO presentation debuts SATURDAY, JULY 23 (10:00-11:25 p.m. ET/PT).

Other HBO playdates: July 23 (2:50 a.m.) and 26 (11:35 p.m.), and Aug. 1 (10:45 p.m.), 11 (1:45 a.m.), 16 (11:30 p.m.) and 24 (2:20 a.m.)

HBO2 playdates: July 28 (9:30 p.m.) and 30 (12:45 a.m.)

In addition to Jonathan Groff (Patrick), Frankie J. Alvarez (Agustn) and Murray Bartlett (Dom), LOOKING: THE MOVIE also stars series regulars Lauren Weedman (Doris), Russell Tovey (Kevin) and Ral Castillo (Richie), as well as returning guests Daniel Franzese (Eddie), Bashir Salahuddin (Malik), Chris Perfetti (Brady), O.T. Fagbenle (Frank) and Jennifer Foster (Kyah). New guests include Michael Rosen (Jimmy) and Derek Phillips (Jake). The film also features a special appearance by Tyne Daly.

"Looking" debuted on HBO in Jan. 2014, winning critical praise over its two-season run. Among the accolades, Vanity Fair called it "a rarity in television ... an affirming, sexy, cathartic show," while the New Yorker hailed the series as "a stealth breakthrough," and the Huffington Post called it "one of the sweetest and most romantic shows on television." While the series focused primarily on a group of gay friends, the themes were universal, including falling in love, finding professional fulfillment, forging an identity in a complicated world and searching for happiness.

LOOKING: THE MOVIE is written by Andrew Haigh and Michael Lannan; directed by Andrew Haigh; executive producers, Andrew Haigh, Michael Lannan, Sarah Condon.
