CULVER CITY, Calif. (June 21, 2016) - Crackle, Sony's free streaming service, today announced that Merritt Patterson ("The Royals," "Ravenswood") will join the season two cast of the critically-acclaimed original drama series, "The Art of More." She joins the previously announced stars including Dennis Quaid (also executive producer), Kate Bosworth, Cary Elwes and Christian Cooke.

Patterson will play Olivia Brukner, the sassy, smart, no-nonsense daughter of Samuel Brukner (Quaid). Olivia comes to New York looking to reconnect with her father while she navigates an uncertain future. Recently separated and having dropped out of medical school, Olivia comes into Sam's life a far cry from the strong, driven daughter he remembers. But there's more than meets the eye with Olivia, who brings out a never-before-seen side of her brash, billionaire father.

The series delves deep into the glamorous cutthroat world of premium auction houses and pulls back the curtain on the dark underbelly of a multi-million dollar business filled with hustlers, smugglers, power mongers, and collectors of the beautiful and the esoteric.

"The Art of More" follows former soldier Graham Connor (Christian Cooke) who shakes off his blue collar, Brooklyn roots and gains access to an elite society through his connections with a smuggling ring he encountered during his tour in Iraq. Dennis Quaid stars as charismatic real estate shark Samuel Brukner, a Machiavellian master of money and power who is one part charm and one part intimidation. He is the life of the party but when it comes to his money, he can be both ruthless and corrupt. Cary Elwes is Arthur Davenport, a shrewd and eccentric world-class collector of art and illegal antiquities who mentors Connor (Cooke). Kate Bosworth portrays Roxanna Whitman, daughter of the CEO of one of the two warring auction houses. Although she was born into this exclusive world and thrives in it, she is riddled with insecurities that drive her to be a formidable executive in her own right.

The one-hour original drama series premiered last November and, in its debut month, generated more than 2 million views, with more than half of those viewers being new to the network. The auction house drama returns in Q4 this year for another 10-episode season of twists and complex stories set in the glamorous and surprisingly cutthroat world of premium auction houses in New York City.

Season one of "The Art of More," called the "#1 Best New Fall TV Show" by Harper's Bazaar garnered high-praise from critics with the New York Times boasting that "the casting is delicious, the characters and their stories grow more complex with each episode." The Wall Street Journal said that "seeing the bad karma pile on is what makes 'The Art of More' difficult to stop watching" and Deadline Hollywood noted that "the first hour-long drama series from Crackle is, well worth bidding on."Other raves came from Entertainment Weekly which said that "the best part is reveling in the evildoings of the one percent" and The A.V. Club noted that the series "does a captivating job of offering access to this secretive, exclusive, and corrupt world."

"The Art of More" was created by Chuck Rose, who with Gardner Stern ("NYPD Blue," "Law and Order"), is writer and executive producer. Dennis Quaid, Laurence Mark (JERRY MAGUIRE, DREAMGIRLS), Gary Fleder (RUNAWAY JURY, "The Shield") and Tamara Chestna, also serve as executive producers. Brendan Kelly ("Weeds") joins season two as executive producer and writer.

"The Art of More" Season 2 builds on Crackle's growing slate of original premium content, which includes the stop-motion animated comedy series "SuperMansion," with Bryan Cranston, Seth Green, Keegan Michael-Key and Jillian Bell; Crackle's weekly live game show series "Sports Jeopardy!" with Emmy(R) award-winning sportscaster Dan Patrick; its flagship award-winning series "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee" with Jerry Seinfeld and its highly-anticipated upcoming drama "StartUp" with Martin Freeman, Adam Brody, Edi Gathegi and Otmara Marrero (premiering Fall 2016). Crackle original movies include JOE DIRT 2: BEAUTIFUL LOSER, starring David Spade, the first ever digital sequel to a major motion picture; DEAD RISING: ENDGAME starring Jesse Metcalfe and Dennis Haysbert; and DEAD RISING: WATCHTOWER.
