GIADA DE LAURENTIIS CELEBRATES HER FAMILY'S HOMELAND AND FOOD TRADITIONS IN NEW EPISODES OF "GIADA IN ITALY"

NEW YORK - June 30, 2016 - Giada De Laurentiis returns to her birthplace for an Italian summer holiday filled with family, friends, food and the beauty of Florence in the second season of Giada in Italy, premiering Sunday, July 31st at 12pm ET/PT on Food Network. Each episode celebrates Giada's beloved family, and she shares cherished stories and memories along with favorite recipes and food traditions. From her movie producer grandfather Dino De Laurentiis' favorite Carbonara Cacio e Pepe and Nonna Luna's rice dishes to Aunt Raffy's Ziti Stufati, each dish honors the De Laurentiis family tree.

"Tuscan Lunch: An Affair of the Heart" Premieres Sunday, July 31st at 12pm (all times ET/PT)
Giada and her daughter Jade arrive in Florence and head straight to the local market to shop. She celebrates hearty Northern Italian food by preparing a Tuscan-style long lunch to share with friends that are visiting from the United States. Giada's menu includes her spin on Bistecca alla Fiorentina, "Greens and Beans" Salad, Garlic Bread and a bottle of local Chianti, topped off with a classic Tuscan dessert.
"Nonna Luna's Secret: Entice with Rice" Premieres Sunday, August 7th at 12pm
Giada's grandmother Silvana Mangano was a stunning Italian beauty turned movie star, who was affectionately known as Nonna Luna. After she caught the eye of Giada's grandfather, the charismatic Italian movie producer Dino De Laurentiis, they fell in love, married and made many movies together. Giada and her Aunt Raffy reminisce about Nonna Luna and her love of rice, while making their own twists on Northern Italian favorites like Bitter Rice, White Chocolate Orzo Pudding and Artichoke and Fennel Crudo.
"Our Brother Would Love This" Premieres Sunday, August 14th at 12pm
Giada and her sister Eloisa pay tribute to their brother Dino, who passed away from cancer. The sisters celebrate Dino's life through food by creating a meal inspired by some of his favorite dishes, including Cheesy Mashed Potatoes, Charred Broccoli Rabe and Pork Chops with Balsamic Glaze, this time with a Northern Italian twist.
"Raffy & Raffy" Premieres Sunday, August 21st at 12pm
Giada's grandfather Dino came from a large Italian family with many brothers and sisters, and his sister Raffaella (Aunt Raffy) is the only sibling still living. Aunt Raffy is in her 90s and lives in Milan, so Giada takes the train from Florence to visit her and prepare her favorite baked dish Ziti Stufati.
"What Would Nonno Dino Make" Premieres Sunday, August 28th at 12pm
Giada's late grandfather Dino would have loved a big family reunion in Italy, around platters of food. He loved food as much as he loved cinema and was known for disarming his friends and foes with home cooked meals. Giada and Aunt Raffy celebrate Dino by making some of his favorites, including Carbonara Cacio e Pepe, Mussels with Fennel and Italian Beer and Olive Oil Sorbetto with Berries and Balsamic.
"Sisters & Cousins" Premieres Sunday, September 4th at 12pm
Giada, along with her daughter, sister and nephew, spend the day enjoying a traditional Italian spread on a boat trip along Florence's Arno River. The menu includes Kale Salsa Verde Bruschetta, Tuna, White Bean and Bitter Greens Salad and a light dessert of Torrone Mess.
"Under the Tuscan Sun: De Laurentiis Family Feast" Premieres Sunday, September 11th at 12pm
Giada and her family gather at a villa in the Tuscan Countryside for a family reunion celebration, with platters of food filling the long Italian table. Giada enlists everyone to help out in the kitchen to make family favorites with traditional Northern Italian ingredients including Octopus Panzanella, Hazelnut Chicken and Stracciatella with Strawberry and Vin Santo.
