Hosted by gold medalist Heather Mitts, the second season of the series follows 12 elite female soccer players' journey to win the opportunity to meet and train with a National Women's Soccer League team and a shot at being the next Soccer Superstar. Soccer Superstar will air back-to-back premieres every Friday at 10 p.m. (ET/PT) for three weeks starting July 15 on Nicktoons.

Soccer Superstar follows a squad of 12 teen female soccer players, assembled after nationwide tryouts, as they compete in challenges on and off the field and face elimination by an acclaimed panel of judges: National Soccer Hall of Famer Marcelo Balboa; gold medalist Angela Hucles; and youth soccer development expert Dan Metcalfe. The players are judged on their performances in training, competitive games and various challenges including penalty kicks, bulls eye accuracy, crossbar, surfing and hip-hop dancing.

The second season of Soccer Superstar will also feature interviews with soccer professionals including members of the National Women's Soccer League--Alex Morgan, Carli Lloyd, Ali Krieger, Crystal Dunn and Kelley O'Hara--and training challenges led by former soccer professionals Karina LeBlanc and Aly Wagner along with LA Galaxy's Steven Gerrard. The players will also compete in non-soccer challenges led by guest judges including top Ladies Professional Golf Association players Danielle Kang and Belén Mozo, magician Ed Alonzo, So You Think You Can Dance runner-up Cyrus Spencer and professional surfer Anastasia Ashley.

The National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) is a 10-team Division-I women's professional soccer league featuring national team players from around the world.
