STUDIO CITY, CA - July 19 - Hallmark Channel's "Summer Nights" programming event continues with the new, original movie "For Love and Honor," premiering Saturday, July 30, 9 p.m. ET/PT. Stars include James Denton ("Desperate Housewives"), Natalie Brown ("The Strain"), Rebecca Liddiard ("Houdini and Doyle") and Sheppard Denton, in his television debut.
"Our viewers will be thrilled to see 'Good Witch' star James Denton and his real-life son Sheppard share the screen together for the first time," said Michelle Vicary, Executive Vice President, Programming and Network Publicity, Crown Media Family Networks. "Our audience appreciates uplifting programming and the movie's themes of honor, family and redemption will strongly resonate with them."
Recently retired Army Colonel Tom Brennan (Denton) is tapped by his longtime friend to take over the military division of their alma mater to help save the declining Stone Creek Academy. Although his daughter Kylie (Liddiard) encourages him to loosen up, Tom immediately clashes with Caroline Foster (Brown), the newly hired academics dean and a civilian whose "touchy-feely" methods are at complete odds with his regimented approach. Despite their differences, the dueling duo ultimately joins forces to try to save the school. As Tom attempts to instill pride in the students he meets Mason (Sheppard Denton), a slacker who becomes inspired to lead his fellow cadets in the effort to turn things around. During the course of Tom and Caroline's seemingly impossible task, romance blossoms and these two opposites learn they really do have everything in common after all.
