Netflix Announces Season 3 Pickup of Marvel's Daredevil
Tonight, the first-ever Netflix and Marvel San Diego Comic-Con panel took place in Ballroom 20, featuring the star-studded cast of the Netflix original series Marvel's Luke Cage, including fan-favorite Mike Colter (Luke Cage), Alfre Woodard, Mahershala Ali, Theo Rossi, Simone Missick, Frank Whaley and showrunner and Executive Producer, Cheo Hodari Coker. Moderated by Jeph Loeb, Marvel's Head of Television and Executive Producer on the show, the panel was packed with surprises and sneak peeks including an appearance by Jon Bernthal, who was introduced to fans as Frank Castle ("The Punisher") in season two of Marvel's Daredevil, and will be starring in the Netflix original series Marvel's The Punisher; exclusive clips of Marvel's Luke Cage, a surprise video by Finn Jones, who plays Danny Rand in the upcoming Marvel's Iron Fist and a first look at the series, the season 3 announcement of Marvel's Daredevil, and the logo reveal of Marvel's The Defenders, which will unite Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist, as they face their biggest threat yet.

The 4500 fans were also treated to a Comic Con teaser of the Netflix original series Marvel's Luke Cage, which premieres globally on September 30, 2016 at 12:01am PT. This is the third show in the Defenders series to launch on Netflix, following Marvel's Daredevil and Marvel's Jessica Jones, and leading up to the future release of Marvel's Iron Fist, and ultimately, Marvel's The Defenders.

About Marvel's Luke Cage:
After a sabotaged experiment leaves him with super strength and unbreakable skin, Luke Cage (Mike Colter) becomes a fugitive trying to rebuild his life in modern day Harlem, New York City. But he is soon pulled out of the shadows and must fight a battle for the heart of his city - forcing him to confront a past he had tried to bury.
Mike Colter plays the charismatic lead character, Luke Cage and is joined by Mahershala Ali (Cornell "Cottonmouth" Stokes), Alfre Woodard (Mariah Dillard), Simone Missick (Misty Knight), Theo Rossi (Shades), Frank Whaley (Rafael Scarfe) and Rosario Dawson (Claire Temple).
