Carey Joins Previously Announced Guest Stars
Taye Diggs, Sierra McClain, French Montana and Birdman
EMPIRE Returns Wednesday, September 21
Superstar Mariah Carey - the best-selling female recording artist of all time - will guest-star and perform on FOX's hit, EMPIRE. Carey will play Kitty, a mega-superstar who comes to Empire to collaborate with Jamal Lyon (Jussie Smollett) on an explosive new song. When the duet encounters obstacles, Kitty helps Jamal dig deep to overcome personal difficulties and reach a musical breakthrough. Carey's appearance airs Wednesday, Oct. 5 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.
Season Three of EMPIRE premieres Wednesday, Sept. 21 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. Additional guest stars this season include Taye Diggs, Sierra McClain, rapper French Montana and music mogul Birdman, who plays himself.
Mariah Carey is a luminous and enduring talent who has enthralled audiences for more than half her life. As a singer, songwriter and producer, Carey has been recognized with multiple Grammy Awards, 21 American Music Awards, 14 Billboard Music Awards and BMI's coveted Icon Award, among myriad others. She also was named Billboard's Artist of the Decade and the World Music Awards' World's Best Selling Female Artist of the Millennium.
Carey is about to begin the second half of her critically acclaimed Las Vegas residency, "Mariah #1 to Infinity," which starts at Caesars Palace later this month. She then heads to Latin America this fall with her "Sweet Sweet Fantasy" tour, to thrill her fans in Argentina, Chile, Brazil and Mexico.
