For the sake of his daughter, he attempts to change professions and become a movie producer, laundering money through a Hollywood film. But instead of leaving the criminal world behind, he accidentally brings it with him to Los Angeles." Romano then is eyed for Rick, "a washed up producer of low quality films who becomes Miles' partner and guide through the maze of Hollywood." John Travolta and Gene Hackman originated said roles in the feature incarnation. (Deadline.com)

HOBBS (ABC, New!) - Michael Caleo ("Rescue Me") has sold a new drama to the Alphabet about Tommy Hobbs, "a former Heisman Trophy winner who joins the Miami police force after not being drafted by the NFL, as well as a meticulous, rule-following detective who has trained her whole life to become a police officer."
