AMY'S BROTHER (A.K.A. UNTITLED CASHMAN & SILPA PROJECT) (FOX) - Jim Cashman and Mitch Silpa's single-camera comedy has scored a pilot order from the network. Melissa McCarthy and Ben Falcone also serve as executive producers for Warner Bros. Television with Cashman and Silpa as co-executive producers. Its logline has been specified as follows: "An unconventional family is formed when a successful type A man and his estranged sister, plus her two children, find themselves not only back in each other's lives but also living under one roof."
BLACK LIGHTNING (FOX) - The network has passed on the DC Comics adaptation however the project may find a new home at The CW. (Deadline.com)
CASUAL (Hulu) - Jamie Chung will recur on the new season as Tina, "who has the self-confidence of a pretty, debt-free, part-time freelance artist whose parents bought her a house." (Deadline.com)
FEAR THE WALKING DEAD (AMC) - Emma Caulfield has scored a yet-to-be-revealed role on the show's upcoming third season. (TVLine.com)
GENIUS (National Geographic Channel) - T.R. Knight will recur on the upcoming anthology series as J. Edgar Hoover, "the first director of the FBI. He will play the driven and hard-charging political icon at different ages over multiple decades." (Deadline.com)
HANNAH ROYCE'S QUESTIONABLE CHOICES (CBS) - The Matt Tarses-penned comedy - about "a woman who has made some interesting choices throughout her life - namely, having three different kids with three different men - but all have led her to having a very unique, loving, blended family" - has received a pilot order from the Eye. Kapital Entertainment's Aaron Kaplan, Wendi Trilling, Dana Honor and Fiona Clark will also executive produce the single-camera project for Sony Pictures Television and CBS Television Studios. HOUSEHOLD NAME (A.K.A. UNTITLED CAROL BURNETT PROJECT) (ABC) - The Carol Burnett-led comedy - about "a family who gets a chance to buy the house of their dreams but under extremely abnormal circumstances: they must live with the current owner, an eccentric, larger-than-life actress (Burnett) until she dies" - has booked a pilot order at the Alphabet. Michael Saltzman penned the multi-camera project with Paper Kite Productions' Amy Poehler and Brooke Posch; 3 Arts Entertainment's Dave Becky; and The Nacelle Company's Michael Pelmont also serving as executive producers for Universal Television. SALVATION (CBS) - Charlie Rowe and Jacqueline Byers are the first to be cast in the summer drama, about an MIT grad student and a tech superstar who bring a low-level Pentagon official a staggering discovery - that an asteroid is just six months away from colliding with Earth. Rowe will play said student, Liam, with Byers as Jillian, "an aspiring sci-fi writer recruited by Darius to work in a think tank on a theoretical project about saving humanity... a project that might prove to be all too real." SKYLANDERS ACADEMY (Netflix) - The streaming service has commissioned a third season in advance of its season two launch later this year. (Deadline.com)

UNTITLED GOLDBERGS SPIN-OFF PROJECT (ABC) - The Bryan Callen-led spin-off - "set in the 1990s and follows two high school teachers who become unlikely father figures to the kids at their Philadelphia school, the same school Adam (Sean Giambrone) graduated from" - is officially heading to pilot at the Alphabet. Adam F. Goldberg, Marc Firek, Happy Madison's Doug Robinson and Exhibit A's Seth Gordon are executive producing for Sony Pictures Television. (Deadline.com)
VALOR (The CW, New!) - Kyle Jarrow has scored a pilot order from the netlet for a new drama about "a U.S. Army base that houses an elite unit of helicopter pilots trained to perform clandestine international and domestic missions. The drama unfolds in the present as well as in flashbacks to a failed mission involving one of the first female pilots in the unit, ultimately uncovering layers of personal and government/military secrets and leading to a season-long plan to rescue a group of MIA soldiers." Bill Haber will also executive produce for CBS Television Studios. (Deadline.com)
