RADIO DISNEY ADDS PERFORMANCES BY SABRINA CARPENTER, FITZ AND THE TANTRUMS AND ERIN BOWMAN TO 2017 RADIO DISNEY MUSIC AWARDS

The 2017 Radio Disney Music Awards (RDMA) will bring audiences more music than ever with the addition of performances by Hollywood Records recording artist and actress Sabrina Carpenter, Atlantic Records hit makers Fitz and The Tantrums and independent recording artist and songwriter Erin Bowman. The RDMA, music's biggest event for families, takes place SATURDAY, APRIL 29, at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles and will be presented SUNDAY, APRIL 30 (7:00-9:00 p.m. EDT), on Disney Channel. These dynamic performers join the previously announced artists: Kelsea Ballerini, Hailee Steinfeld, Alessia Cara, Noah Cyrus, Julia Michaels, Grace VanderWaal, Jordan Fisher and Train.

In 2016, Sabrina Carpenter released her second album "EVOLution," featuring "On Purpose" a song that not only spent 15 weeks on the Radio Disney Top 30, it's also nominated for "XOXO - Best Crush Song." The singer and actress, already a two-time ARDY winner for 2016's "That's My Jam - Best Anthem" for "Eyes Wide Open" and 2015's "XOXO - Best Crush Song" for "Can't Blame a Girl For Trying," is set to make her third performance at the RDMA. Her current single "Thumbs" reached No. 1 on Radio Disney, and the music video has over 22 million views on Vevo. Carpenter finished last year on a high note with a sold-out, 36-city North American tour and is set to tour the U.K. and Ireland in May with The Vamps and New Hope Club.

Fitz and The Tantrums have quickly grown from independent upstarts to bona fide hit makers. Their self-titled album was released last summer and features their biggest single to date at certified platinum, "HandClap," which spent 14 weeks on the Radio Disney Top 30. The hit is also nominated for a 2017 ARDY for "So Happy - Best Song That Makes You Smile." The band has performed at music festivals around the world, including Coachella, Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, and more.

Singer/songwriter Erin Bowman will make her Radio Disney Music Awards debut after a break-out year. Her hit single "Good Time Good Life" has been featured in the popular television shows "This Is Us" and "Hawaii Five-O," in a national Target campaign, was selected as the promotional song for the national campaigns of the 89th Academy Awards(R) on ABC, and was the first dance on the premiere of the 24th season of "Dancing with the Stars." The single spent six weeks on the Radio Disney Top 30 and has been the No. 1 most played single on Sirius XM's Venus since its debut. Bowman made her national TV debut performing on "Good Morning America" and takes the stage for her first-ever award show performance at the 2017 RDMA.

Winners of the RDMA will be announced on SATURDAY, APRIL 29, at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, with performances by some of the biggest artists along with tomorrow's rising stars in music. A special two-hour telecast, "Disney Channel Presents the 2017 Radio Disney Music Awards," will be presented SUNDAY, APRIL 30 (7:00-9:00 p.m. EDT), in the U.S. across multiple Disney-branded platforms. The 2017 RDMA is sponsored by American Girl(R), Aquabeads(R), Chrysler, Comcast's Xfinity, Flavor Blasted(R) Goldfish(R) Crackers, KRAFT(R) Macaroni and Cheese Shapes and The Walt Disney Studios.

Information on the Radio Disney Music Awards is available at www.Disney.com/RDMA.
