IFC UNVEILS TWO NEW "SLIGHTLY OFF" DIGITAL SERIES ON ITS COMEDY CRIB

Frank & Lamar and Sport Court Dive into The Worlds of Manhattan Middle School Teachers and Rowdy Sports Fans

Both Series Available to Stream Now

NEW YORK - April 24, 2017- IFC announced that two new original digital series, Frank & Lamar and Sport Court, will premiere today on the Comedy Crib (ifc.com/comedy-crib), the network's online hub for original, short-form comedy. The shows will join the Crib's current array of acclaimed web series including Quirks, The Mirror, and Boxed In.

Created by and starring Carl Foreman Jr. and Anthony Gaskins, Frank & Lamar follows two best friends who live together and also work together as middle school teachers in New York City. When workplace drama and romance issues turn their world upside down, they are forced to decide whether to stick together or go at it alone. Frank & Lamar is produced by Gray Hour Media and directed by Fred Soligan. In addition to Frank & Lamar, Carl Foreman Jr. has appeared in online sketches for CollegeHumor, Funny or Die, Above Average, MTV(other), Official Comedy and UCB Comedy. Carl also performs and does sketch comedy at the Upright Citizens Brigade. Anthony Gaskins can be seen on Netflix in The Jerk Theory and in the film "Crazy Beats Strong Every Time," an Official Selection of Sundance Film Festival. He has appeared on stage at the New York Theater Workshop, Urban Stages, HERE Arts Center, American Repertory Theater and Mint Theater.

Created by writer-performer Joe Schiappa and produced by Shortbits' Shaina Feinberg and Chris Manley, Sport Court follows Judge David Linda, a circuit court judge assigned to an ad hoc courtroom in the basement of the Hartford Ultradome created to put obnoxious sports fans on trial for their rowdy behavior. The series, also directed by Feinberg, stars Chris Roberti (High Maintenance) and Monique Moses (Broad City). Schiappa has written for MTV's Silent Library and Money From Strangers. He is also the creator and writer of MTV(other)'s digital series, Truth or Dare, which launched in 2014, is a contributor for Funny or Die's Pitch, and recently wrote on Maker Studio's Pete vs. Mike, which premieres May 2017. Joe performs and teaches at The People's Improv Theatre in NYC.

Since launching over a year ago, the IFC's Comedy Crib has showcased over 25 exclusive digital series, including content from partners Above Average, UCB Comedy and the Annoyance Theatre, as well as original series from both established and up-and-coming comedians. With even more development on the horizon for 2017, the popular IFC.com destination will give visitors an endless variety of off-kilter content to binge and share.
