OLIVIA MUNN JOINS HISTORY(R)'S HIT ACTION DRAMA SERIES "SIX" FOR SEASON TWO

The drama from A+E Studios in association with Weinstein Television begins production on Season 2 this month in Vancouver

New York, NY - July 11, 2017 - Award-winning actress Olivia Munn (The Predator, X-Men: Apocalypse, "The Newsroom") is reporting for duty in season two of the hit HISTORY(R) action drama series, "SIX." Munn plays Gina, a ruthless and smart CIA operative who rose from being a CIA Shooter to a high level Operations Officer.

Munn was most recently seen in Office Christmas Party alongside Jason Bateman and Jennifer Aniston, and as "Psylocke" in X-Men: Apocalypse. Her upcoming projects including the voice of "Koko" in The LEGO NINJAGO Movie and starring in Shane Black's The Predator. From 2012-2014, Munn starred as "Sloan Sabbith" on Aaron Sorkin's HBO drama "The Newsroom," winning a prestigious Gracie Award. In 2006, Munn joined G4 network's "Attack of the Show!" as co-host. She later joined the Emmy Award winning Comedy Central series "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" as correspondent in 2010. As an author, her first book, "Suck It, Wonder Woman: The Misadventures of a Hollywood Geek" was also released that year and debuted on The New York Times and Los Angeles Times best-sellers lists.

"SIX" begins production on the 10 episode second season this month in Vancouver. The series is inspired by the real missions of Navy SEAL Team Six, the unit best known for killing Osama Bin Laden. "SIX" depicts the emotional truths of what it means to be in SEAL Team Six, their complex personal lives and the life and death decisions that protect American interests. Season 1 of "SIX," which premiered on HISTORY in January, is currently ad-supported cable's #1 new original series of 2017 averaging 3.2 million Total Viewers in Live+7, according to Nielsen Media Research (Live+7, 12.26.16-6.25.17, premieres only excluding mini-series and shows debuting in 2016).

"SIX" was created and written by Academy Award(R) Nominee William Broyles (Cast Away, Apollo 13, Jarhead) and David Broyles, a military special operations veteran. Stars Barry Sloane ("Revenge," Noah), Kyle Schmid ("Copper," "Being Human"), Juan Pablo Raba ("Narcos"), Edwin Hodge (The Purge, "Chicago Fire"), Brianne Davis (Casual, Jarhead), Nadine Velazquez (Flight), Dominic Adams ("Devious Maids"), Jaylen Moore ("The Night Shift") and Lindsley Register ("The Walking Dead") will all return for Season 2. As previously announced, Eric Ladin ("The Killing") joins the cast as Trevor, an experienced SEAL who will join the team and disrupt the status quo.

"SIX" is an A+E Studios production in association with Weinstein Television. William Broyles, Harvey and Bob Weinstein, David Broyles, Bruce C. McKenna ("Band of Brothers," "The Pacific"), Alfredo Barrios, Jr. ("Burn Notice"), George W. Perkins (Live from Baghdad), David Glasser, Nicolas Chartier, Meryl Poster and Barry Jossen are executive producers. Retired U.S. Navy SEAL Mitchell Hall (Zero Dark Thirty, Lone Survivor) serves as the series' technical advisor and producer. CNN's national security analyst Peter Bergen serves as the series' terrorism consultant. Arturo Interian serves as the executive in charge of production for HISTORY.

A+E Networks holds worldwide distribution rights for "SIX."
