SOCIAL MEDIA SENSATION LIZA KOSHY INKS FIRST-LOOK DEAL TO DEVELOP AND EXECUTIVE PRODUCE ORIGINAL CONTENT WITH MTV

New York, NY - July 31, 2017 - MTV today announced a first-look production and executive producer overall deal with social media superstar, Liza Koshy. Best known for her weekly content on YouTube, her comedic sensibility and character has made her one of the industry's fastest rising stars. Under the deal, Koshy will develop and executive produce original content for MTV.

Additionally, she has been tapped to provide on-air celebrity hosting duties for the network's recently announced "TRL" with periodic appearances throughout the year on this and other MTV programming. "TRL" is set to premiere on Monday, October 2 on MTV.

Liza Koshy's social growth is a testament to the relationship and engagement she has with her fans. The multi-faceted, social media personality currently has almost 45 million followers across her platforms, including YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and more, and continues to gain thousands of new subscribers each day. She is also the fastest YouTuber in history to reach 10 million subscriptions.

In addition to the weekly content she posts on her YouTube channels, Koshy can currently be seen in HULU's "Freakish" as high school bad girl "Violet," and in Tyler Perry's hit film "Boo! A Madea Halloween" as "Aday." Earlier this year, Liza hosted the 2017 Golden Globes live pre-show which had a record-breaking 2.7 million live Twitter viewers; and in 2016 she interviewed President Barack Obama to encourage voter registration around the Presidential election.
