ALEXA & KATIE (Netflix) - Jack Griffo and Kerri Medders have both been cast in the multi-camera comedy series. He'll play Dylan, "a smart, cute friend of Lucas (Emery Kelly)"; while she's set as Gwenny, "a driven and competitive girl who is Alexa's (Paris Berelc) longtime rival." (Deadline.com)
DAMNATION (USA) - Gabriel Mann will recur on the upcoming drama as Martin Eggers Hyde, "a refined, witty, extremely well-educated and well-spoken individual who is also a brilliant visionary." (THR.com)
DARK TOWER, THE (TBA) - Glen Mazzara has been tapped as showrunner for the proposed TV incarnation of the Stephen King book series from Media Rights Capital and Sony Pictures Television. Originally set up at NBC in 2010 with Akiva Goldsman and Ron Howard at the helm, the project subsequently moved to HBO in 2011 before being shelved indefinitely as the feature got off the ground. Idris Elba's Roland Deschain, Dennis Haysbert's Steven Deschain and Tom Taylor's Jake Chambers are expected to appear in the TV series, which will be based on "Wizard in Glass," the fourth book in series. Goldsman and Howard as well as Brian Grazer remain attached as executive producers. (THR.com)
ESCAPE AT DANNEMORA (Showtime) - David Morse has scored a role on the limited series as Gene Palmer, "a corrections officer who is friendly with Richard Matt (Benicio Del Toro) and unwittingly aids in his escape." (Deadline.com)
HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER (ABC) - Julius Tennon, real life husband to star Viola Davis, will guest on the upcoming season in a yet-to-be-revealed role. (Deadline.com)
THIS IS US (NBC) - Sylvester Stallone will drop by the upcoming season as "Kevin's costar/father figure in the Ron Howard movie the Pearson son was cast in at Season 1's end." (TVLine.com)
TITANS (DC) - Australian newcomer Teagan Croft is the first to be cast in the upcoming series as Raven, "the daughter of a demon, is a powerful empath who must keep her emotions in check or risk unleashing her demonic side." (Deadline.com)
WONDERFUL WORLD OF DISNEY, THE: THE LITTLE MERMAID LIVE! (ABC) - The Alphabet has formally postponed its live musical from October 3. Said decision was expected as the network revealed last month its fall Tuesday lineup would launch on said date. (Deadline.com)
YELLOWSTONE (Paramount) - Wendy Moniz will recur on the upcoming drama as Montana Governor Lynelle Perry, "who's convinced John Dutton's (Kevin Costner) son, Jamie Dutton (Wes Bentley) is a natural for the political life." (Deadline.com)
