-- Velocity To Host A Text-To-Donate Initiative For 21 Hours of LIVE Broadcasting Coverage -

(New York) - Velocity is joining forces with The National Compassion Fund Las Vegas to generate donations for the victims and families affected in the Las Vegas shooting earlier this month. Throughout the 21 hours of live coverage at BARRETT-JACKSON LIVE, Velocity will offer a Text-To-Donate initiative inviting viewers to text VEGAS to 707070 to support The National Compassion Fund Las Vegas. Each donation garnered will be matched by Velocity up until $100,000.

The National Compassion Fund Las Vegas was created by the National Center For Victims of Crime and dedicates 100% of proceeds to be distributed directly to the victims and is the only straight-to-victim fund of its kind in the U.S.

Velocity's BARRETT-JACKSON LIVE Las Vegas kicks off Thursday, October 19 - Saturday, October 21 with premieres on Velocity and Discovery Channel and internationally on Velocity Canada, Discovery Turbo U.K. and Discovery Channel U.K. The call to action will run throughout the entire three-day broadcast.
