Universal Television-based Hazy Mills Productions is behind the half-hour with principals Sean Hayes and Todd Milliner also executive producing. (Deadline.com)
EPIPHANY (The CW, New!) - Writer Spenser Cohen, director Lee Toland Krieger and producer Shawn Levy are set to team for a new drama at the netlet about "a group of gifted strangers recruited to a Gilded Age mansion to solve a complex code that lies within the structure's walls." Anna Halberg will also executive produce the hour for Levy's 21 Laps banner and Warner Bros. Television. (THR.com)
FEMME (The CW, New!) - Audrey Wauchope and Rachel Specter ("Crazy Ex-Girlfriend") have sold a potential drama to the netlet about "four millennial women from different walks of life who become unlikely friends and fierce allies after meeting online in a secret feminist social media group. They form a sisterhood army in the real world to support each other through both serious and humorous crises and to help other women in need." Gina Rodriguez and Emily Gipson will also executive produce for I Can and I Will Productions and CBS Television Studios. (Variety.com)
MAGNUM, P.I. (CBS, New!) - Eric Guggenheim and Peter M. Lenkov ("Hawaii Five-0") have scored a pilot production commitment from the Eye for a reboot of the famed 1980-1988 drama, about Thomas Magnum, "a decorated ex-Navy SEAL who, upon returning home from Afghanistan, repurposes his military skills to become a private investigator." Said effort will also feature fellow vets Theodore "TC" Calvin, Orville "Rick" Wright and a gender flipped Juliet Higgins. Davis Entertainment's John Davis and John Fox will also executive produce for CBS Television Studios and Universal Television. Last year, ABC has spearheaded a potential sequel series featuring Magnum's daughter, Lily "Tommy" Magnum. (Deadline.com)
MAYANS MC (FX) - Raoul Trujillo (Sicario) has signed onto the "Sons of Anarchy" spin-off as Che "Taza" Romero, "Vicepresidente of Mayans MC, Santo Padre Charter. As a longtime friend of Alvarez, he helped set up the Santo Padre chapter on the border. He's hardened by the deterioration of his hometown, but an infinite source of wisdom to the club." (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED BREWER & TOSCANO PROJECT (FOX, New!) - Writer Nikki Toscano is set to team with director Craig Brewer for a new drama at the network about "a blue collar man with a beautiful mind who is suddenly thrust into a world of instant wealth, taking with his loud and irreverent family along for the ride. His journey into this new life will force him to confront demons from his past, his exciting new future, and the girl who got away that happens to be front and center in all of this." Both will executive produce the hour, which has a penalty attached, with Brewer directing for 20th Century Fox Television. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED REEVES & TOSCANO PROJECT (FOX, New!) - Writer Nikki Toscano likewise is teaming with director/producer Matt Reeves for a potential hour billed as "a female-led character drama that unravels the complicated personal and professional lives of a family of cops as they investigate a high profile missing persons case across two timelines. In 2001, Shane McGuinty, a new detective in the NYC Missing Persons division, and her partner, Dominic, are drawn closer together when they embark on their first (and most haunting) case on the worst day of the year: 9/11. In present day, we follow as Shane and Dominic (now ex-partners and ex-lovers) are forced together again when new evidence threatens to blow both their unsolved 2001 case, and their entire squad, wide open." 20th Century Fox Television-based 6th & Idaho is behind the hour, which has a penalty attached. Adam Kassan and Rafi Crohn will also executive produce and co-produce, respectively. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED JANE LYNCH PROJECT (Syndication, New!) - Emmy-winner Jane Lynch ("Hollywood Game Night") is reportedly being eyed to host a daytime talk show from Telepictures, billed as "a feel-good, variety show that would be tailored for Lynch, showcasing her comedic take/spin on everything from pop culture moments to real people with unique, uplifting stories." UNTITLED MERIWETHER & PHILBIN PROJECT (ABC, New!) - Liz Meriwether and J.J. Philbin ("New Girl") are looking to re-team for a single-camera comedy at the Alphabet about "a group of single parents who lean on each other as they raise their kids and look for another chance at love (or at least sex)." The project, which has a put pilot commitment, is set up at 20th Century Fox Television. Katherine Pope will also executive produce. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED SHEA SERRANO PROJECT (ABC, New!) - Author Shea Serrano has scored a put pilot commitment from the Alphabet for a single-camera comedy "based on [his] life growing up in a family with five uncles who all have different perspectives on manhood."
