HALLMARK CHANNEL KICKS OFF 2018 WITH "WINTERFEST" FEATURING FOUR NEW WINTER-THEMED MOVIE PREMIERES IN JANUARY

Winter sparkles on Hallmark Channel, as the network ushers in the New Year with "Winterfest," the network's highly anticipated annual programming event.

"Winterfest" celebrates all we love about the snowy season and features a slate of four all-new original movies premiering every Saturday in January. The event starts with "Love on the Slopes" (Saturday, January 6th 9 p.m. ET/PT), followed by "Frozen in Love" (Saturday, January 13th 9 p.m. ET/PT), "One Winter Weekend" (Saturday, January 20th 9 p.m. ET/PT) and "Winter's Dream" (Saturday, January 27th 9 p.m. ET/PT).

'LOVE ON THE SLOPES'
A Hallmark Channel Original Movie World Premiere
Saturday, January 6th (9p.m. ET/PT)
Starring: Katrina Bowden, Thomas Beaudoin

Alex copyedits for a travel magazine, but wants to be a writer. Now the magazine is holding a contest for a spot on the writing staff, and a plane ticket to anywhere in the world! Alex pitches an article on extreme sports photographer Cole Taylor, but is told to write about trying the risky sports herself. Determined, Alex heads to Colorado where she meets Cole and convinces him to be her guide. Though a klutz, Alex is soon skiing and ziplining, all as Cole photographs her exhilaration and a romance blossoms.

'FROZEN IN LOVE'
A Hallmark Channel Original Movie World Premiere
Saturday, January 13th (9p.m. ET/PT)
Starring: Rachel Leigh Cook, Niall Matter

As Mary faces the reality of her Denver store closing, she reaches out for some PR help to turn things around. At the same time, the handsomely wild Denver Royals hockey star Adam is sent to the same PR firm to fix his reputation. The two are paired in a seemingly mutually-beneficial buddy system: repair his image and give her the chance to reinvent the store to save it. Along the way, they both learn the lesson that it doesn't matter how many times you fall, it only matters how many times you get back up again-which opens two opposites for much needed change, and unexpected love.

'ONE WINTER WEEKEND'
A Hallmark Channel Original Movie World Premiere
Saturday, January 20th (9 p.m. ET/PT)
Starring: Taylor Cole, Jack Turner, Rukiya Bernard, Dewshane Williams

A relationship writer at a women's magazine has recently sworn off dating and joins her best girlfriend for a snowboarding weekend. A reservation snafu forces them to share a chalet with a couple of guys they've never met, one of whom is a company CEO who is also lying low on the dating front. However, once he and she get to know one another better, they begin to wonder if perhaps they should rethink their whole "non-dating" status, until each finds out what the other does for a living.

'WINTER'S DREAM'
A Hallmark Channel World Premiere
Saturday, January 26th (9 p.m. ET/PT)
Starring: Dean Cain, Kristy Swanson

Former professional skier Kat works as a ski instructor at Bliss Mountain, where she prepares for a Winterfest to drum up business for the quaint town. Widowed father Ty and his daughter Anna come from New York to train and quickly connect with Kat. Sparks form between Kat and Ty as Kat coaches Anna and prepares for Winterfest with Ty. When a fall down the hill causes Anna to rethink the race, Kat may lose both her new relationship and her rekindled confidence as a coach. Kat, Ty and Anna must all look deep within to conquer their fears and push forward.
