ARROW (The CW) - Kyra Zagorsky will drop by an upcoming episode as Athena, "a former member of the League of Assassins. Bearing a scar across her face as an example of her fearlessness and determination, Athena aims to maintain the legacy of Malcolm Merlyn, her fallen commander - and thus sees anyone who was once associated with him as a potential threat." (Variety.com)
CHICAGO FIRE (NBC) - Kim Delaney has been cast as Jennifer Sheridan, mother of Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney): "At one point she may have partied like it was 1979, but now it looks like she's on the path of the straight and narrow. If you ask her, she's moved on from the past, namely her messy divorce from her ex-husband Benny (Treat Williams), but old habits die very hard." (Deadline.com)
CHILLING ADVENTURES OF SABRINA, THE (Netflix) - Jaz Sinclair has been tapped to co-star in the Kiernan Shipka-led drama as Rosalind Walker, "the brash, empowered and outspoken daughter of Greendale's minister and Sabrina's (Shipka) best friend at Baxter High." (THR.com)
CONAN (Amazon, New!) - Writer Ryan Condal, director Miguel Sapochnik and producer Warren Littlefield are set to team for small screen take on Robert E. Howard's literary hero, Conan the Barbarian: "Driven out of his tribal homelands, Conan wanders the mysterious and treacherous world of civilization where he searches for purpose in a place that rejects him as a mindless savage." Pathfinder Media's Fredrik Malmberg and Mark Wheeler will also executive produce alongside said trio for Endeavor Content. (Deadline.com)
GOD FRIENDED ME (CBS) - Brandon Micheal Hall ("The Mayor") has scored the title role on the drama pilot, Miles Finer: an outspoken atheist whose life is turned upside down when he is "friended" by God on Facebook. Unwittingly, he becomes an agent of change in the lives and destinies of others around him. The actor has been released from the technically-not-canceled ABC comedy, making his involvement in first position. (Deadline.com)
GOOD FIGHT, THE (CBSAA) - Tim Matheson will recur on the show's sophomore season as "a bartender who becomes friendly - both personally and professionally - with Diane Lockhart (Christine Baranski)." (Variety.com)
MURDER (CBS) - Teyonah Parris ("Survivor's Remorse") has scored the lead role on the drama of Ayana Lake, "a rising star in the NYPD whose keen intellect and quick, analytic mind are the keys to her success. But when she's partnered with instinctive intuitive Det. Jack Garrity (not yet cast), styles and personalities sometimes clash." (Deadline.com)
POLITICIAN, THE (Netflix, New!) - Brad Falchuk, Ian Brennan and Ryan Murphy have reportedly booked a two-season straight-to-series order for a series starring Tony winner Ben Platt with Oscar winners Barbra Streisand and Gwyneth Paltrow also in negotiations to co-star. Said effort "revolves around the politician aspirations of Platt's Payton, a wealthy Santa Barbarian, and every season will revolve around a different political race his character is involved in." Murphy will direct the debut installment and executive produce alongside Falchuk and Brennan for Fox 21 TV Studios with Platt, Streisand and Paltrow also receiving producing credits. (Deadline.com)
TACOMA FD (truTV) - Kirby Bliss-Blanton, Marcus Henderson, Eugene Cordero and Gabriel Hogan have all been cast in the Kevin Heffernan/Steve Lemme-led comedy pilot, set in a firehouse in the wettest city in America. Light on blazes that need extinguishing, they are basically fire fighters who are always ready to fight fires... but in this wet city, they also have to fight their own boredom. Bliss-Blanton will play Lucy O'Malley, "a rookie firefighter and the first female ever assigned to her father's station"; with Henderson as Granville "Granny" Smith, "an accomplished paramedic and firefighter in the station house"; Cordero as Andy Parrish, "a good firefighter who's dealing with some personal issues - namely the fact that he is going prematurely bald"; and Hogan as Ike Crystal, "a hulking and handsome firefighter - but not exactly the smartest guy in the room. He also moonlights as an exotic dancer." Production begins this month in Los Angeles. (Deadline.com)
WYNONNA EARP (Syfy) - Megan Follows has been tapped to play Michelle, "Wynonna's (Melanie Scrofano) "resurrected" birth mother, who, believed to be dead, was seen from the back in the final moments of the Season 2 finale." (Deadline.com)
