NEW YORK, March 1, 2018 - Kick it with Comedy Central at the annual SXSW Festival in Austin as the brand hosts panels, shows at Esther's Follies and holds a Backyard Bash, a two-day event with free beer, food and festivities for the fans.

Comedy Central will be hosting two panels, The Daily Show with Trevor Noah and Clusterfest, at the Austin Convention Center. The Daily Show with Trevor Noah is a full-blown digital experience. The digital team is creating original content and interacting with its audience and newsmakers on every social platform as events unfold. Real fake news is 24/7. Join Comedy Central's VP of digital content strategy, Akash Goyal, The Daily Show's producers Jocelyn Conn, Ramin Hedayati, Matt Negrin and correspondent Roy Wood Jr., for an in-depth discussion about the daily conversation that happens between the show and its audience on social media. Real Fake News Never Stops: Convo with The Daily Show panel will take place in Ballroom EFG from 5:00-6:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 10.

In June 2017, Superfly and Comedy Central joined forces to create Clusterfest, an entirely new multi-format festival experience that celebrates comedians and comedy and music. Clusterfest creators Kent Alterman, President of Comedy Central and Jonathan Mayers, Co-founder, Superfly peel back the curtain on the motivation and creative process behind the successful mix of comedy and music and the inner workings of a huge comedy festival. Are Comedy Festivals the New Music Festival? panel will take place in room 12AB on Tuesday, March 13 from 5:00-6:00 p.m.

Come and hang out at Esther's Follies (525 E. 6th Street) for a Corporate Retreat celebrating the season one finale of Corporate, Comedy Central's dark, incisive take on cubicle life, with stand-up from creators Jake Weisman, Matt Ingebretson, Pat Bishop, along with co-stars Adam Lustick, Aparna Nancherla and Baron Vaughn and a sneak peak of the finale episode, "Remember Day." Comedy Central will also present Clusterfest Spring Break which will feature past and future performers from its annual three-day comedy and music festival in San Francisco, including Matthew Broussard, Martha Kelly, Sam Morril, Beth Stelling and Liza Treyger. Both shows are part of SXSW Comedy and free to SXSW badge holders with Corporate Retreat taking place on Saturday, March 10 at 10:00 p.m. and Clusterfest Spring Break taking place on Tuesday, March 13 at 8:00 p.m.

Comedy Central's Backyard Bash, an annual event since 2014, will feature several interactive stations celebrating Comedy Central franchises including a Drunk History dunk tank where fans can get dunked or dunk costumed historical figures in beer, make friendship bracelets at the Broad City station, snap a pic in the Comedy Central GIF photo booth, win some sweet CC swag, and much more!

Backyard Bash is free, open to the public and entry includes two free beers and an egg taco. The event takes place on Friday, March 16 and Saturday, March 17 from 12:00-5:00 p.m. CT at Pelons/508 Tequila Bar at 802 Red River St.
