POP SUPERSTAR MEGHAN TRAINOR TO PERFORM ON THE 2018 RADIO DISNEY MUSIC AWARDS

GRAMMY(R)-winning pop superstar and twelve-time Radio Disney Music Award (RDMA) nominee Meghan Trainor is scheduled to perform a special medley at the 2018 RDMA, music's biggest event for families, presented on SATURDAY, JUNE 23 (8:00 p.m., EDT/PDT), on Disney Channel as well as multiple Disney-branded platforms, including Radio Disney, the Radio Disney app, the DisneyNOW app and Disney.com/RDMA. This year, Trainor is nominated in three RDMA categories: "The One - Best Artist," "#SquadGoals - Fiercest Fans" and "So Happy - Best Song that Makes You Smile" for her single, "No Excuses." Trainor joins the RDMA line-up of previously announced performers Charlie Puth and "American Idol" winner Maddie Poppe.

Trainor said, "I'm so honored to be nominated for these three incredible awards and I want to give a special shoutout to the Megatronz for being so fierce! I can't wait to perform for everyone; we've got something very special for you."

Trainor burst onto the music scene in 2014 with her hit single "All About That Bass," which was nominated for "The Bestest - Song of the Year" at the 2015 Radio Disney Music Awards and spent 28 weeks on the Radio Disney Top 30. In 2016, Trainor won the GRAMMY Award for Best New Artist and the ARDY for "So Happy - Best Song That Makes You Smile" for her single "Better When I'm Dancing," which spent 16 weeks on the Radio Disney Top 30. A multi-platinum and diamond-certified recording artist, her music dominates the Radio Disney charts, with her most recent single, "No Excuses," from her upcoming album, reaching No. 1 and spending 10 weeks on the Radio Disney Top 30. Trainor is also a talented songwriter; writing hits for Radio Disney fan favorites Sabrina Carpenter, Fifth Harmony and Lauren Alaina, among others. Trainor recently released two new singles from her upcoming third studio album, "Let You Be Right" and "Can't Dance."

Fans can vote for the artists that they want to take home an "ARDY" across six voting platforms: Disney.com/RDMA, the Radio Disney app, the DisneyNOW app, Google Search Voting and Radio Disney's Facebook and Twitter.

The winners will be announced FRIDAY, JUNE 22, at the Dolby Theatre(R) at Hollywood & Highland Center(R) in Hollywood, California. A special telecast of the sixth annual show, "2018 Radio Disney Music Awards," will be presented on SATURDAY, JUNE 23 (8:00 p.m., EDT/PDT), on Disney Channel as well as multiple Disney-branded platforms, including Radio Disney, the Radio Disney app, the DisneyNOW app and Disney.com/RDMA.

The 2018 RDMA is sponsored by new and returning clients from the automotive, toy, food and entertainment categories, including Aquabeads(R), Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid, Goldfish(R) crackers, KRAFT(R) Macaroni and Cheese Shapes, Nintendo's Mario Tennis Aces video game on the Nintendo Switch system and The Walt Disney Studios. Den of Thieves, the production company that has delivered some of the biggest moments in live event television, returns for the fourth consecutive year to produce the 2018 RDMA.

Information on the Radio Disney Music Awards, voting procedures and official rules are available at www.Disney.com/RDMA.
