DICKINSON (Apple, New!) - Oscar-nominee Hailee Steinfeld (True Grit) is set to star in a new half-hour comedy at the company about famed poet Emily Dickinson. Writer Alena Smith and director David Gordon Green are spearheading the straight-to-series project, which "takes viewers into the world of Emily (Steinfeld), audaciously exploring the constraints of society, gender, and family from the perspective of a budding writer who doesn't fit in to her own time through her imaginative point of view." wiip's Paul Lee; Anonymous Content's Alex Goldstone; Sugar23 Productions' Michael Sugar and Ashley Zalta; and Darlene Hunt are also among the executive producers. GOOD FIGHT, THE (CBSAA) - Justin Bartha's Colin Morrello reportedly won't return as a regular to the series next season. (TVLine.com)
MACGYVER (CBS) - Executive producer Craig O'Neill has signed a new multi-year overall deal with CBS TV Studios. The pact will cover his duties as co-showrunner on the series as well as any potential development. (Deadline.com)
MIDDLE, THE (ABC) - Eden Sher's Sue Heck is set to be the focus of a potential spin-off series from creators Eileen Heisler and DeAnn Heline. The Warner Bros. TV-based project "will be set a few years in the future from 'The Middle' finale, chronicling the next stage of Sue's life as a young adult with a new cast of characters around her." The studio is said to be in negotiations for a pilot production commitment. (Deadline.com)
PAGE SIX TV (Syndication) - Bevy Smith, Elizabeth Wagmeister and Carlos Greer will take over as hosts of the series for its second season. They'll succeed original host John Fugelsang. (Deadline.com)
ROSEANNE (ABC) - Co-star Sara Gilbert is reportedly set to meet with fellow executive producers Tom Werner and Bruce Helford this week "to kick around possible ideas for continuing the show without [Roseanne] Barr." (Deadline.com)
YOU KNOW YOU WANT THIS (HBO, New!) - Carly Wray and Lila Byock are developing an anthology drama series at the pay channel, which will "explore the complex and often dark and funny connections between gender, sex, and power across genres."
