BIG LITTLE LIES (HBO) - Nicole Kidman's Blossom Films, a co-producer on the HBO series, has signed a first-look deal with Amazon Studios. The pact gives the streaming service first crack at the company's film and TV output. (Deadline.com)
NOW APOCALYPSE (Starz) - Tyler Posey is set to recur on the upcoming comedy as Gabriel, "an incredibly charismatic and mysterious guy Ulysses (Avan Jogia) matches with on a dating app. During their highly anticipated first date, they can hardly contain themselves." (Deadline.com)
SHAMELESS (Showtime) - Richard Flood's Ford - "the Irish finishing carpenter and craftsman, lesbian sperm-donor to many, and a reluctant Fiona's boyfriend" - has been promoted to regular for the show's ninth season. (Deadline.com)
STAR TREK: DISCOVERY (CBSAA) - Gretchen Berg and Aaron Harberts are exiting as showrunners of the series, five episodes into production on its sophomore run. Executive producer Alex Kurtzman will take over going forward. Said report indicates "multiple writers are said to have been uncomfortable working on the series and had threatened to file a complaint with human resources or quit the series altogether before informing [Alex] Kurtzman of the issues surrounding Berg and Harberts." UNTITLED MCELHENNEY & ROSELL PROJECT (FOX) - Leah Remini has signed on to star in the off-cycle multi-camera comedy pilot, about "a woman, Jean (Remini), her ex-husband and her new wife who work together to raise a family in middle America." Remini's Jean "considers herself a patriot who loves her country and firmly believes in everyone's right to be left alone. Jean in many ways fits the stereotype of a typical conservative. However, she leads a very progressive lifestyle as she is now married to a woman, Betty. Together, they're raising Jean's two boys with the help of the boys' father and Jean's ex-husband, Richie, who currently lives in the garage." (Deadline.com)
V-WARS (Netflix) - Peter Outerbridge is the latest to be cast in the upcoming drama as Calix Niklos, "an elegant, malicious science expert on the Homeland Security Team." (Deadline.com)
