COLLEGE (Amazon, New!) - Marja-Lewis Ryan has landed a pilot commitment from the streaming service for a young adult series which "digs beyond the headlines that make college campuses ripe for drama and steps inside the shoes of six roommates as they hook up, mess up and grow up on their own terms." Amazon Studios, Free Association and Topple Productions are all behind the project with Channing Tatum, Jill Soloway, Reid Carolin, Andrea Sperling and Peter Kiernan also serving as executive producers. (Deadline.com)
DEMIMONDE (HBO) - Bash Doran has been tapped as showrunner of the sci-fi fantasy drama, centered around a world's battle against a monstrous, oppressive force. Said development is part of a two-year overall deal the TV writer/playwright has signed with HBO. (Deadline.com)
ENEMY WITHIN, THE (NBC) - Noah Mills has joined the cast of the midseason drama as Special Agent Jason Bragg, "a rising star in the FBI's Counterintelligence Division. Cool and confident, talented and ambitious, Bragg is a natural in the high-stakes world of spy hunting. But the same brashness that's led to his success will also threaten to put him in danger and compromise the team he considers his second family." (Deadline.com)
FUTURE MAN (Hulu) - Shaun Brown will recur on the show's sophomore run as Hatchet, "an integral member of a unique family group that Wolf (Derek Wilson) becomes apart of thanks to a case of mistaken identity." (Deadline.com)
GHOSTED (FOX) - Co-star Amber Stevens West has confirmed the freshman comedy has been canceled by the network. (@AmberoniStevens)
GOOD TROUBLE (Freeform) - Michael Galante is the latest set to recur on the upcoming drama as Bryan: "A sexy, gay man, Bryan lives in downtown LA and works as an event planner at the Standard Hotel." (Deadline.com)
NOW APOCALYPSE (Starz) - R.J. Mitte and Grace Victoria Cox will likewise recur on the upcoming comedy as Leif, "a hot guy who becomes a temptation for Carly (Kelly Berglund) after she meets him by the pool in Palm Springs"; and Amber, "Carly's (Berglund) roommate, who complains to her about another disastrous Tinder date," respectively. (Deadline.com)
PANIC (Amazon, New!) - Lauren Oliver is looking to bring her young adult novel to the small screen at the streaming service, about "a forgotten rural town where every year the graduating seniors risk their lives in an illegal, high-stakes game to win life-changing money-and a chance to escape. Anonymous judges force the players through a series of challenges that will compel them to confront their deepest fears - and upend their ideas of who they are, who to trust, and who they might become. This year, 47 players will compete for the biggest pot ever. All of them will be changed. Only one will win." Joe Roth and Jeff Kirschenbaum of Roth Kirschenbaum Films and Elle Triedman will executive produce the Amazon Studios-based pilot alongside Oliver with Alyssa Altman and Glasstown Entertainment's Lynley Bird as co-executive producers. (Deadline.com)
RIGHTEOUS GEMSTONES, THE (HBO, New!) - Danny McBride and John Goodman are set to star in a "televangelist family comedy" pilot for the pay channel about Jesse Gemstone (McBride), who "arrogantly attempts to expand and modernize the global TV ministry that his father Eli (Goodman) created a long tradition of deviance, greed, and charitable work, all in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ." McBride's frequent collaborators Jody Hill and David Gordon Green also executive produce the project, with Green directing. (Deadline.com)
WATCHMEN (HBO) - Tom Mison, Frances Fisher and Jacob Ming-Trent have all snagged roles on the comic-turned-drama pilot. No details about their characters were given. The ensemble also includes Jeremy Irons, Regina King, Don Johnson, Tim Blake Nelson, Louis Gossett Jr., Adelaide Clemens and Andrew Howard. (Deadline.com)
WILDS, THE (Amazon, New!) - Sarah Streicher has scored a pilot order from the streaming service for a potential young adult series about "a group of teenage girls from radically different backgrounds who find themselves stranded on a remote island, unaware that they've just become the subjects of an elaborate social experiment. Part survival drama, part dystopic slumber party, The Wilds explores the past and present struggles of these young women, offering up a vivid portrayal of what it means to grow up female in our time - whether you are lost in the wilderness or not." ABC Signature, Dylan Clark Productions and Amazon Studios are behind the project with FanFare Productions' Jamie Tarses also executive producing. (Deadline.com)
