BOOMERANG (BET) - Tequan Richmond, Tetona Jackson, Leland B. Martin and Lala Milan are the first to be cast in the cable channel's small screen take on the film, which "will follow the lives of Jacqueline Boyer's son Bryson (Richmond) and Marcus and Angela Graham's daughter Simone (Jackson) as they try to step out of their parents' shadows and make a legacy of their own." Martin then will play Ari, "a digital producer with big dreams"; with Milan as Tia, "a misguided performance artist with high ambitions." (Deadline.com)
BROOKLYN NINE-NINE (NBC) - Co-star Chelsea Peretti announced on social media she will not be returning for NBC's revived sixth season as a full-time cast member. (@chelseaperetti)
KRYPTON (Syfy) - Emmett Scanlan has been cast as the Main Man himself, Lobo, on the show's sophomore season. (@DCComics)
L.A. COMPLEX, THE (The CW) - Martin Gero is looking to reboot his Canadian drama for the netlet, which "will revolve around a new crop of tenants who move into the Luxe hotel in the heart of Hollywood - a ragtag commune of twentysomethings all hustling to make it as actors, dancers, producers or comedians." Gero and Brendan Gall will pen the script for said incarnation via the former's Warner Bros. TV-based Quinn's House banner. The CW previously carried the show's two-season run in the summer of 2012. (Deadline.com)
LETHAL WEAPON (FOX) - Damon Wayans reportedly plans to exit the series following the completion of its 13-episode third season. (Deadline.com)
MANDALORIAN, THE (A.K.A. UNTITLED STAR WARS LIVE-ACTION PROJECT) (Disney OTT) - Jon Favreau revealed on social media the concept behind the upcoming "Star Wars" TV series: "After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic." (@jonfavreau)
MARCELLA (Netflix) - The streaming service has quietly renewed the Anna Friel-led drama for a third season of eight episodes. (Variety.com)
SCHOOLED (ABC) - Brett Dier has joined the cast of "The Goldbergs" spin-off as C.B.: "Based on [Adam] Goldberg's favorite teacher and friend, C.B. is a young, energetic teacher who engages students with classroom antics and impressions. C.B. is both a friend and rival to rookie teacher Lainey Lewis (A.J. Michalka)." (Deadline.com)
