ALL AMERICAN/CHARMED/LEGACIES (The CW) - The netlet has asked for additional scripts from all three of its freshman entries prior to their debuts. The orders - five for "All American" and "Charmed," three for "Legacies" - will keep said series ready for production should The CW decide to produce additional episodes. (Deadline.com)
ARE YOU SLEEPING (Apple) - Katherine LaNasa will recur on the Octavia Spencer/Lizzy Caplan-led drama as Noa Havilland, "Poppy's (Spencer) producing partner." Said role fills the void of the departing Moon Bloodgood, whose character Cath Min is being written out. (Deadline.com)
CAROL'S SECOND ACT (CBS, New!) - Patricia Heaton is attached to star in a new multi-camera comedy at the Eye about Carol Chambers (Heaton), "who after raising her two children and retiring from teaching, embarks on a unique second act: she's going to become a doctor." Emily Halpern and Sarah Haskins are penning the CBS TV Studios-based half-hour, which has a blind series commitment. All three will executive produce alongside Adam Griffin, FourBoys Entertainment's David Hunt and Rebecca Stay, and Kapital Entertainment's Aaron Kaplan and Dana Honor. (Deadline.com)
ENEMY WITHIN, THE (NBC) - James Carpinello will recur on the midseason entry as Anthony Cabrera, "an intelligent, trustworthy CIA official who has history with Jennifer Carpenter's Erica Shepard." (Deadline.com)
FUTURE MAN (Hulu) - Katherine LaNasa has booked a major recurring role on the upcoming second season as Athena, "the leader of a shadowy organization who uses Josh (Josh Hutcherson) in her plot to take down the government." (Deadline.com)
GIFTED, THE (FOX) - James Carpinello will drop by the new season in the recurring role of Rick, "a cocky and undisciplined leader of four new recruits whose mercenary attitude has made him successful in the past." (Deadline.com)
GODFATHER OF HARLEM (Epix) - Rafi Gavron is the latest addition the period ensemble as Ernie Nunzi, "a flashy young mobster with dreams of getting "made," into the Genovese Family, Ernie Nunzi is an ambitious, brutally handsome and violent young man." (Deadline.com)
LIMETOWN (Facebook Watch, New!) - Jessica Biel is set to star in a new 10-episode series at the streaming service about Lia Haddock (Biel), "a journalist for American Public Radio (APR), as she unravels the mystery behind the disappearance of over 300 people at a neuroscience research facility in Tennessee." The project is based on the podcast of the same name with said creators Zack Akers and Skip Bronkie set to pen the script. Iron Ocean Productions' Michelle Purple and Midnight Radio's Josh Appelbaum, André Nemec, Jeff Pinkner and Scott Rosenberg will also executive produce alongside the group for Endeavor Content. PROVEN INNOCENT (FOX) - Caitlin Mehner and Tembi Locke are both bound for the midseason drama as Heather Husband, "a classic mean girl from high school and Madeline Scott's (Rachel Lefevre) nemesis who continues to torment her in adulthood"; and Vanessa Dale, "a professional and empathetic therapist to Easy Boudreau (Russell Hornsby)." SHAMELESS (Showtime) - Cameron Monaghan is the latest cast member to announce their departure from the series. His character, Ian Gallagher, will depart in Sunday's episode. Said news comes on the heels of Emmy Rossum's decision to exit last month. (@cameronmonaghan)
UNTITLED MIDDLE SPIN-OFF PROJECT (ABC) - Kimberley Crossman has been cast in the Eden Sher-led spin-off as Remi, "the chef at the hotel. Tough and talented, she's recently on the mend from a promising but failed relationship and food truck business when her now ex-boyfriend literally drove away with their dreams." (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED NICK CANNON PROJECT (FOX, New!) - Nick Cannon is attached to host and executive produce a potential weekly topical late-night series for the network which would "cover pop culture and feature high-profile celebrity interviews, music performances and stand-up comics." NCredible Entertainment's Michael Goldman and Embassy Row's Michael Davies are also on board to executive produce. (THR.com)
WOMAN UP (ABC, New!) - Zoe Lister-Jones ("Life in Pieces") has scored a put pilot commitment from the Alphabet for a single-camera comedy "about two former teen moms who have worked their asses off to see their daughters all the way through high school graduation. And now, at 37, they're ready to make up for the youth they never had." She'll write and executive produce the half-hour via her Ms. Lister Films banner for 20th Century Fox TV with Small Dog Picture Company's Jason Winer and Jon Radler as well as Elizabeth Meriwether Pictures' Liz Meriwether also on board to executive produce.
