FOLKS, THE (CBS, New!) - Frank Pines has booked a multi-camera comedy at the Eye about "what happens when a momma's boy marries a daddy's girl, and their respective parents can't let go." The Jackal Group's Gail Berman and Joe Earley and Simpson Street's Kerry Washington and Pilar Savone are also set to executive produce for CBS Television Studios. (Deadline.com)
PEOPLE JUST DO NOTHING (Amazon, New!) - Amazon Studios has issued a pilot order for a domestic take on the U.K. series, "a mockumentary following a group of working class DJs and their friends in a town called North Las Vegas: a land of mini malls and vast parking lots, where the lights of The Strip act as a beacon of fame and glory that's just out of reach." Writer Mehar Sethi and director Chris Storer are spearheading the project with original series creators Hugo Chegwin, Steve Stamp, Asim Chaudhry and Allan Mustafa also executive producing alongside Sethi, Storer and Roughcut TV's Ash Atalla. PRETTY LITTLE LIARS: THE PERFECTIONISTS (Freeform) - Noah-Gray Cabey and Evan Bittencourt are both set to recur on the spin-off series as Mason, "a smart and athletic fellow student at Beacon Heights University"; and Andrew, "the supportive and well-adjusted boyfriend of Dylan, who's successfully navigating the world of the Perfectionists - for now," respectively. RUN (HBO) - Kate Dennis is set to direct and executive produce the "romantic comedic thriller" pilot, about a woman (Merritt Wever) living a humdrum existence who one day gets a text inviting her to fulfill a youthful pact, promising true love and self-reinvention, by stepping out of her life to take a journey with her oldest flame. TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN (CBS, New!) - Mike Metz has sold a hybrid comedy to the Eye about Evan, "who sets out with his group of 20-something friends to accomplish a list of challenges he wrote for himself years ago in an effort to turn around his banal life." The Jackal Group's Berman and Joe Earley are the executive producers for CBS Television Studios with Metz as a co-executive producer. (Deadline.com)
