TNT'S "I AM THE NIGHT" PRESENTS MY FAVORITE MURDER LIVE ON JANUARY 15 AT EL REY THEATER

Patty Jenkins Directs, Chris Pine Stars and Sam Sheridan Writes Six-Episode Suspense Drama Inspired by the Life of Fauna Hodel

I Am the Night to Premiere January 28, at 9 p.m. (ET/PT) on TNT

LOS ANGELES, JANUARY 8, 2019 - TNT announced today that its thrilling new true crime series I Am the Night is teaming up with the hit podcast My Favorite Murder to bring an exclusive live episode hosted by Karen Kilgariff and Georgia Hardstark on January 15th at the El Rey Theater in Los Angeles.

This unique partnership marks a first for the My Favorite Murder team, as the podcast has never partnered with a television network in support of an upcoming drama series.

On the anniversary of the Black Dahlia's death, and in the same city where she was killed, Murderinos can join Karen and Georgia to dive deeper into Hollywood's most notorious murder before an exclusive screening of TNT's new limited series I Am the Night. Star Jefferson Mays will attend and be interviewed during the taping, talking about playing Dr. George Hodel and the series.

"What more could we want? We get to discuss the Black Dahlia, our audience gets a sneak peek at the first episode of I Am The Night and we get to talk to Jefferson Mays about playing Dr. Hodel. It's a true crime trifecta. We can't wait!" said Kilgariff and Hardstark.

My Favorite Murder will publish the special episode of the podcast leading up to the January 28th premiere of I Am the Night.

RSVP details were released via the My Favorite Murder newsletter and attendees will be admitted on a first come, first serve basis.

Inspired by true events, I Am The Night tells the gripping story of Fauna Hodel (India Eisley), a teenage girl who is given away at birth, and grows up outside of Reno, Nevada. Fauna lives more-or-less comfortably with the mysteries of her origin, until one day she makes a discovery that leads her to question everything. As Fauna begins to investigate the secrets of her past, she meets a ruined reporter (Chris Pine), haunted by the case that undid him. Together they follow a sinister trail that swirls ever closer to an infamous Los Angeles gynecologist, Dr. George Hodel (Jefferson Mays), a man involved in some of Hollywood's darkest debauchery, and possibly, its most infamous unsolved crime.

Patty Jenkins directs I Am the Night, which is written by Sam Sheridan. The series is produced by Turner's Studio T, with Jenkins, Michael Sugar (13 Reasons Why, Spotlight), Pine and Sheridan serving as executive producers. Carl Franklin (House of Cards, Homeland) and Victoria Mahoney (Claws) each direct two episodes.

In addition to this exclusive live show with My Favorite Murder, upcoming podcast Root of Evil: The True Story of the Hodel Family and the Black Dahlia will premiere February 13th on Apple Podcasts and all major platforms. This ground-breaking eight-part podcast documentary series tells the Hodel family's story in their own words for the first time. Yvette Gentile and Rasha Pecoraro, daughters of Fauna Hodel, host the podcast series in first-person, telling family's dark history with a story that spans generations, including their connection to the infamous Black Dahlia murder.

I Am the Night will premiere on January 28th at 9 p.m. (ET/PT) on TNT.
