WHAT:

RYAN HANSEN SOLVES CRIMES ON TELEVISION*, a meta comedy skewering Hollywood and police procedurals, returns for Season 2 on January 30, 2019 on YouTube Premium. To prepare fans for the show's return, YouTube is releasing all 8 episodes of season 1 for free starting today through February 13, 2019.

The show stars Ryan Hansen (Veronica Mars, Party Down), as a ridiculous version of himself, who joins an LAPD task force partnering actors with homicide detectives so they can use their "actor skills" to help solve murders. Season 1 features Ryan and Emmy-winning Samira Wiley (The Handmaid's Tale, Orange is the New Black) as his no-nonsense partner Detective Mathers, along with a who's who of broadcast and cable television stars playing bizarro versions of themselves including, but not limited to, Joel McHale, Jon Cryer, Donald Faison, Eric Christian Olsen and Kristen Bell. Season 2 stars Ryan Hansen and Wood Harris (The Wire). Special guest stars include, but are not limited to: Jillian Bell, Rob Corddry, Jon Cryer, Rhys Darby, Donald Faison, Lucy Hale, Thomas Lennon, Jane Lynch, Ken Marino, Tim Matheson, Joel McHale, Tim Meadows, Stephen Merchant, Ben Schwartz, Dax Shepard, Jessica St. Clair and Samira Wiley. WHEN:

Season 1 will be available for free until February 13, 2019. After February 13, Season 1 will be available exclusively on YouTube Premium.

On January 30, 2019, all eight episodes of season 2 will be available to stream on YouTube Premium.

The series is created by Rawson Marshall Thurber who also serves as a writer and executive producer. The series is also executive produced by Beau Bauman, Jeff Wadlow and Thank You, Brain! Productions' Tracey Baird and Krysia Plonka.
