ABC Slots "Bless This Mess" Pilot Encore in Advance of Second Episode
Look for its debut installment at 8:30/7:30c this Tuesday, April 23 (in place of "The Kids Are Alright") followed by a new episode at 9:30/8:30c.

"Pilot" - Newlyweds Rio and Mike drop everything (including their jobs and overbearing mother-in-law) to make the move from big city New York to rural Nebraska in search of a simpler life. They soon realize that becoming farmers isn't as easy as they planned as they are faced with unexpected challenges on "Bless This Mess," TUESDAY, APRIL 23 (8:30-9:00 p.m. EDT), on The ABC Television Network, streaming and on demand. "Bless This Mess" stars Lake Bell as Rio, Dax Shepard as Mike, Ed Begley Jr. as Rudy, Pam Grier as Constance and JT Neal as Jacob.

"Pilot" was written by Lake Bell and Elizabeth Meriwether. Bell also directed the pilot.

The series is from 20th Century Fox Television and ABC Studios. Lake Bell and Elizabeth Meriwether are co-creators and executive producers. Jake Kasdan, Melvin Mar, Erin O'Malley, Katherine Pope and Dax Shepard serve as executive producers.

"Bless This Mess" is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC's selected HDTV format, with 5.1-channel surround sound. This episode carries a TV-PG, DLS parental guideline.

"Timmy's New Hobby" - Peggy discovers that Timmy has a newfound and inappropriate hobby and urges Mike to talk to him about it even though he is reluctant to do so. Despite being uncomfortable, Mike attempts to have a conversation with Timmy about the topic and enlists Lawrence's help in the matter. Elsewhere, Frank is determined to finally catch Joey in a lie on "The Kids Are Alright," TUESDAY, APRIL 30 (8:30-9:00 p.m. EDT), on The ABC Television Network, streaming and on demand.

"The Kids Are Alright" stars Michael Cudlitz as Mike Cleary, Mary McCormack as Peggy Cleary, Sam Straley as Lawrence Cleary, Caleb Foote as Eddie Cleary, Sawyer Barth as Frank Cleary, Christopher Paul Richards as Joey Cleary, Jack Gore as Timmy Cleary, Andy Walken as William Cleary and Santino Barnard as Pat Cleary.

"Timmy's New Hobby" was written by Emily R. Wilson and directed by Jay Karas.

The series is inspired by the childhood of creator/executive producer Tim Doyle, who also narrates in voiceover as older Timmy. Randall Einhorn also serves as executive producer and director for the series. The series is from ABC Studios.
