BLESS THE HARTS (FOX) - Phil Lord and Chris Miller (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse) have reportedly closed a five-year, nine-figure overall deal with Sony Pictures Television. The pact marks the end of their nine-year run at 20th Century Fox Television, home of the upcoming FOX animated comedy and Netflix's "Hoops." It's understood the duo will develop various projects for the studio, including "a suite of TV series based on Sony's Universe of Marvel characters, referred to as Spider-verse." (Deadline.com)
CENTRAL AVE (Syndication, New!) - Debmar-Mercury has cleared a new "new half-hour multicultural entertainment news magazine show" for a five-week test run on select Fox Television Stations beginning November 4. DARE ME (USA) - Chris Zylka and Taveeta Syzmanowicz will both recur on the upcoming drama, which dives into the cutthroat world of competitive high school cheerleading. He and Beth (Marlo Kelly) are drawn to the outlaw spirit in each other. But it's a relationship that feels dangerous." And Syzmanowicz is RiRi: "A vibrant and fun-loving member of the cheerleading squad, RiRi is often the pawn in Addy (Herizen Guardiola) and Beth's friendship drama. Saddled by a very ambitious mother who has huge dreams and high expectations for her, RiRi is anxious for freedom and eager to rise in her squad." (Deadline.com)
TRUTH BE TOLD (Apple TV+) - Octavia Spencer and Brian Clisham's Orit Entertainment has signed a three-year overall deal with 20th Century Fox Television. The pact covers all future output from the company, which is behind upcoming Spencer-led Apple TV+ series. (Deadline.com)
