DARK TOWER, THE (Amazon) - Michael Rooker has been tapped to star opposite Sam Strike and Jasper Pääkkönen in the proposed Stephen King adaptation as "a main villain and might be Eldred Jonas from the books, a failed gunslinger." (Deadline.com)
GOD FRIENDED ME (CBS) - Erica Gimpel - who plays Trish, "the owner of a neighborhood music store who falls in love with Reverend Arthur Finer (Joe Morton), the father of Miles (Brandon Micheal Hall)" - will be promoted to regular for the series' second season. (Deadline.com)
HUNT, THE (Amazon) - The Al Pacino/Logan Lerman-led drama has cast Julissa Bermudez as Maria, a nurse; Becky Ann Baker as Juanita Kreps, the Secretary of Commerce; Josh Mostel as Rabbi Stecker of New York City; Miles G. Jackson as Danny Rohr, a disgraced journalist; and Jonno Davies as Tobias, a bodyguard, in recurring roles. (Deadline.com)
