Imagina International Sales (THE MEDIAPRO STUDIO) today announced the agreement with the North American platform Spectrum Originals for the US broadcast of the "Todo por el juego" series, which will be available through its streaming service from the next 15 of July under the title of "Side Games". The fiction will be broadcast in Spanish with English subtitles and will premiere episodes in a staggered way from that date: the first three on the same day 15, the fourth and fifth on July 22 and the last three on day 29.

Based on the novel "El fútbol no es así", written by the President of LaLiga, Javier Tebas, together with Pedro Torrens, "Todo por el juego", successfully broadcast in Spain on Movistar, also obtained excellent results last year. audience in Latin America. Set in the world of football, in this case in a fictional Second Division Spanish League, the plot revolves around Mariano Hidalgo (Roberto Enríquez), a prosperous businessman and supporter of a Spanish Second Division club, which rises to the presidency of the same. It is then when he will be involved in a spiral of corruption that includes an illegal betting system controlled by mafias, political scandals, family problems and murders. The story is a great international bet, in which they emphasize the rawness of their dialogues and the sequences of action, as well as the narrative exposition of the events that threaten the foundations of the game.

"After its great reception on the part of the audience in Latin America and against the background of the enormous popularity of football, we believe that this series, beautifully written, will interest both the growing Spanish-speaking audience in the United States, as well as all those who love quality fiction, "says Katherine Pope, Head of Spectrum Originals.

"We are very satisfied with this agreement with Spectrum Originals, which extends the international diffusion of the series, in line with the distribution strategy followed with all our major productions and at a time when fiction in Spanish is more in demand than ever" , commented Javier Méndez, Global Content Director of THE MEDIAPRO STUDIO.

"Todo por el juego" is a production of THE MEDIAPRO STUDIO. The series, which already has a second confirmed delivery, counts as director and showrunner with Daniel Calparsoro ("Apaches", "A ciegas", "Salto al vacío") and as screenwriter with the renowned Argentine writer Eduardo Sacheri, responsible among others for "The secret of their eyes", winner of the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film in 2010.
