Unabashed, semi-dweeby, ultra-observant and with a strong point of view, she walks through the world with purpose and confidence." Bushnell plays Bobby, "Elena's sweet-faced but mischievous older brother"; with Leyva stars as Gabi, "their intelligent and loving mom"; and Weaver as Sam, "a lawyer at Gabi's firm who is in the beginnings of a relationship with her." Additionally, executive producer Gina Rodriguez will helm the debut episode as well as recur as the adult Elena, "who's currently on the campaign trail." (Deadline.com)

Vaughan and Cliff Chiang's comics series - which "follows four young girls who, while out delivering papers on the morning after Halloween in 1988, become unwittingly caught in a conflict between warring factions of time-travelers, sending them on an adventure through time that will save the world" - is coming to the small screen at the streaming service. Stephany Folsom is spearheading the adaptation, which has a series commitment. Vaughan and Folsom will also executive produce for Legendary Television, Plan B and Amazon Studios. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED LAST CHANCE U PROJECT (Spectrum, New!) - Courteney Cox is attached to star in a potential series at Spectrum Originals "inspired by the real-life trials and tribulations of Brittany Wagner, played by Cox, the breakout character from the first two seasons of the popular Netflix docuseries Last Chance U."
