NAT GEO WILD'S NEW SIX-PART SERIES "DOG: IMPOSSIBLE" TELLS INSPIRING SECOND-CHANCE STORIES FOR MAN'S BEST FRIEND
Nat Geo WILD Joins Dog Behavior Specialist Matt Beisner to Prove
There's No Such Thing as a Bad Dog
Dog: Impossible Premieres Sunday, September 8, at 10/9c
(LOS ANGELES - July 23, 2019) Nat Geo WILD's new six-part series DOG: IMPOSSIBLE invites viewers on an inspiring, uplifting journey with dog behavior specialist Matt Beisner, who has dedicated his life to working with some of the most dangerous, most aggressive and most misunderstood dogs in the country. These are dogs everyone else has given up on - even other trainers. In many cases, they are in danger of being put down. But, while everyone else may think there is no hope for these dogs, Beisner is making a difference in the lives of dogs and their owners around the country.
DOG: IMPOSSIBLE premieres Sunday, September 8, at 10/9c, on Nat Geo WILD. For more information, visit our press site www.natgeotvpressroom.com.
Through his company, THE ZEN DOG, Beisner risks his life and limbs for these animals because, as he says, he used to be like them. After his own life was saved through personal transformation, Beisner rescued a dog, found his calling and now devotes his days to saving dogs that have nowhere else to turn. Now, he and his team are helping thousands of owners learn how to handle their aggressive and misunderstood animals, as well as rescuing and rehabilitating dogs from local shelters that have been turned away by every other facility.
Each inspiring episode of DOG: IMPOSSIBLE follows Beisner and his pioneering, progressive approach to changing canine behavior. He focuses on the unique needs of each animal, from detachment issues to aggression driven by fear. Beisner's unique approach is rooted in developing the deepest possible relationship between a dog and its owner, which is grounded in respect, trust and love. Even after all he's witnessed, Beisner still believes there is no such thing as a bad dog.
As Beisner learned, it takes a village to lift you up in your darkest hour, and he has surrounded himself with a team of experts focused on proving that everyone and every animal deserves redemption. With his lead trainer, Stef DiOrio, he is on a mission to give a voice to dogs who have been silenced by their behavior issues.
"From hardened hopelessness to real redemption, my personal transformation led me to create THE ZEN DOG, the world's cutting-edge technique to help humans help dogs help themselves," says Beisner. "Without treats, commands nor dominance-based methods, we continue to prove that there are no bad dogs. I'm able to teach people how to change their relationships with their dogs, which brings hope and peace back into their homes. DOG: IMPOSSIBLE tells the stories of these transformations."
DOG: IMPOSSIBLE is produced by High Noon Entertainment, an ITV America company for Nat Geo WILD. For High Noon Entertainment, Scott Feeley, Jim Berger and Corinna Robbins are executive producers with Amy Elkins serving as co-executive producer. For Nat Geo WILD, Tracy Rudolph Jackson is executive producer.
