AMERICAN GODS (Starz) - Dominique Jackson and Eric Johnson have both scored roles on the show's third season. Jackson will play Ms. World, "an incarnation of Mr. World", while Johnson will play Chad Mulligan, "Lakeside's chief of police." (Variety.com)
DIVERSITY HIRE (FOX, New!) - Cameron Johnson has scored a put pilot commitment from the network for a single-camera comedy about Zenzi Baker, "a brilliant, young, African-American, programmer whose life is turned upside down when her boss embroils his successful tech company in a publicity nightmare. To save face, Zenzi, a low-level coder, is plucked from obscurity and promoted to chief diversity and inclusion officer. Her primary qualification? She's "diverse."" WaterWalk Entertainment's Felicia D. Henderson and Darryl Taja will executive produce for 20th Century Fox Television and FOX Entertainment with Johnson serving as a co-executive producer. PRODIGAL SON (FOX) - Michael Raymond-James is slated to drop by the newcomer as Paul Lazar, "an old friend of The Surgeon who kills because he thinks it's his God-given mission to clean up the streets." (EW.com)
RIGHT STUFF, THE (NGC) - Kaley Ronayne has booked a recurring role on the series as Dee O'Hara, "a nurse for the Mercury Seven. Unlike the NASA doctors, who are nervous and star-struck around astronauts, Dee is unaffected by the instant celebrity of the seven men. Dedicated to her work and integral in building the astronaut medical wing at Cape Canaveral, Dee ultimately strikes up an unlikely friendship with the enigmatic Alan Shepard (Jake McDorman)."
