BIG SHOT (Disney+) - Jessalyn Gilsig is set to star opposite John Stamos in the upcoming series as Holly, "the school's good-humored and down-to-earth assistant basketball coach." She replaces Shiri Appleby as part of a recasting. (Deadline.com)
GOOD TROUBLE (Freeform) - Priscilla Quintana has scored a recurring role on the series as Isabella, "a sexy, charming, outgoing aspiring actress/model who seems very confident but is really desperate to be liked. With her friendly personality and good looks, she is sure to shake things up at The Coterie." (Deadline.com)
HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER (ABC) - Lauren Bowles will recur on the show's final episodes as Assistant U.S. Attorney Montes, "who faces off against Connor and Michaela in court following their arrest." (TVLine.com)
LA'S FINEST (Spectrum) - Orlando Jones is slated to recur on the upcoming season as Marshawn Davis, "a veteran of the LAPD's Internal Affairs Division who is brought in to question Syd Burnett (Gabrielle Union) after an investigation turns deadly. Equal parts integrity and determination, Davis quickly suspects Syd and the truth have a complicated relationship which puts her squarely in his crosshairs." (Deadline.com)
MARVEL'S HOWARD THE DUCK/MARVEL'S TIGRA & DAZZLER SHOW (Hulu) - Marvel Television has shuttered two of its four planned animated comedies for the streaming service. Last month, Erica Rivinoja was released from the latter series as part of a creative overhaul. No reason for the former's axing was given. It's understood the other two projects, "MODOK" and "Hit Monkey," remain on track while "The Offenders," a crossover special featuring the characters of all four series, presumably will not move forward. (THR.com)
MARVEL'S THE FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER (Disney+) - Noah Mills has scored a top secret role on the upcoming drama, which features Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Daniel Bruhl and Emily VanCamp reprising their Marvel film roles. Other new additions include Wyatt Russell, Desmond Chiam and Miki Ishikawa. (Deadline.com)
ORDINARY JOE (NBC) - Russel Friend and Garrett Lerner's proposed drama - which "explores the three parallel lives of the show's main character after he makes a pivotal choice at a crossroads in his life" - is the latest heading to pilot at the network. 20th Century Fox Television is behind the hour with 3 Arts Entertainment's Howard Klein and 6th & Idaho's Matt Reeves, Adam Kassan and Rafi Crohn also executive producing. (Deadline.com)
RITA (Showtime) - The Lena Headey-led pilot has cast Paprika Steen as Ellen, "a guidance counselor who runs the school with weaponized empathy"; Isabella Crovetti as Rose, "an overly ambitious student whom Rita is constantly at odds with"; Glo Tavarez as Connie, "a new and overly enthusiastic teacher at Rita's school"; Jade Payton as Molly, "Rita's daughter who is now finding her own role in life"; and Connor Falk as Oliver, "Rita's youngest son, a satellite in the family who thrives on order and control." (Deadline.com)
SAVED BY THE BELL (Peacock) - Dexter Darden has been cast in the revival series in an unspecified role. (Deadline.com)
TENDER IS THE NIGHT (Hulu) - Nina Raine has been tapped to write the streaming service's new limited series adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's novel. David A. Stern, Scott Huff and Playground Entertainment's Colin Callender also serve as executive producers of the project, which was originally set up in November 2018. (Deadline.com)
WE THE JURY (CBS) - Dana Klein and Stephanie Darrow's comedy - about a group of jurors are sequestered together until they all agree on a verdict... and they can't even agree on lunch - has landed a pilot commitment from the Eye. The CBS Television Studios-based project, originally sold a single-camera, has transitioned to a hybrid format. James Acaster, who created the U.K. format, and Kenton Allen and Matthew Justice of Big Talk Productions also serve as executive producers. (Deadline.com)
