Fans Get First Look At The First "Power" Sequel with New Teaser

Santa Monica, Calif. - February 10, 2020 - Starz, a Lionsgate company (NYSE: LGF.A, LGF.B), announced today that in addition to the previously announced series stars Mary J. Blige and Cliff "Method Man" Smith, some familiar faces will remain in the "Power" universe to star in the STARZ Original series "Power Book II: Ghost" from series creator and showrunner Courtney A. Kemp and Executive Producer Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson. Reprising their roles will be, Michael Rainey Jr. as "Tariq St. Patrick," Shane Johnson as "Cooper Saxe," and Naturi Naughton as "Tasha St. Patrick."

Following the series finale television event of the two-time NAACP Image Award-winning drama "Power," Starz also released today a first look tease into the first new series in the "Power" universe. "Power Book II: Ghost" will pick up the narrative just days after the "Power" finale. The sequel then follows Tariq navigating his new life, in which his desire to shed his father's legacy comes up against the mounting pressure to save his family.

Additional returning cast from "Power" includes "Tariq's" dorm-mate, "Brayden" played by Gianni Paolo (Ma, "The Fosters"), and NYC's favorite defense attorney "Tameika Washington" played by Quincy Tyler Bernstine ("Ray Donovan," "Modern Love").

New to the cast is Daniel Bellomy (The Real MVP: The Wanda Durrant Story) as "Ezekiel 'Zeke' Cross," Paige Hurd ("The Oval," "Hawaii Five-O") as "Lauren," Melanie Liburd ("This is Us," "Gypsy") as "Caridad 'Carrie' Milgram," Justin McManus ("Star") as "Jabari Reynolds," Woody McClain ("The Bobby Brown Story," "The New Edition Story") as "Cane Tejada," Lovell Adams-Gray ("Coroner," "Slasher") as "Dru Tejada," and LaToya Tonedeo ("The Oath") as "Diana Tejada."

"Power Book II: Ghost" is executive produced by series creator and showrunner Courtney A. Kemp through her company End of Episode, and Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson through his G-Unit Film and Television. Also serving as executive producers on the series are Mark Canton through his Atmosphere Entertainment MM, End of Episode's Chris Salek and Danielle DeJesus, Shana Stein and Bart Wenrich. Lionsgate TV produces the series for STARZ.
