AMERICAN AUTO (NBC) - Ana Gasteyer is the latest to be cast in the single-camera comedy pilot as Katherine Hastings, "the CEO at Payne Motors." (Deadline.com)
BIG LEAP, THE (FOX) - Teri Polo, Ray Cham, Ser'Darius Blain and Matt Lucas are the first to be cast in the ballet-themed drama pilot. Polo plays Julia Torrence, "a beautiful former ballerina, Julia is now a social-media-obsessed mom who focuses more on her Instagram than her moody teenage girls or her distant husband, Kevin." Cham then is Justin Reyes, "Gabby's adorable high school boyfriend and dance partner, who came out of the closet to nobody's surprise except Gabby - and his parents, who kicked him out"; with Blain as Reggie Sadler, "a stunning specimen of humanity, Reggie is a gorgeous, famous, athletic, professional football player"; and Lucas as Wayne Sleep, "a joyful British fellow who is one of the co-hosts of The Big Leap." (Deadline.com)
BLESS THIS MESS (ABC) - Co-creator/star Lake Bell has signed an overall deal with producer 20th Century Fox Television. The pact sets her Lake Bell Productions banner up at the studio. (Deadline.com)
DAISY JONES & THE SIX (Amazon) - Sebastian Chacon has been tapped to star in the Taylor Jenkins Reid adaptation as "drummer Warren Rhodes, the fun-loving, unpretentious backbone of the Six who, unlike his band mates, manages to keep perspective and enjoy the ride, never losing sight of his small-town roots." (Deadline.com)
FEAR THE WALKING DEAD (AMC) - Co-star Colman Domingo has signed a first-look deal with AMC Studios, which will get first crack at the actor's producing output. (Deadline.com)
HALSTON (Netflix) - Krysta Rodriguez has been cast as Liza Minnelli in Ryan Murphy's limited series about the iconic designer, to be played by Ewan McGregor. Writer Sharr White and director Dan Minahan were behind the original incarnation, which was since been revamped by Murphy. The project is "believed to be tracking Halston (born Roy Halston Frowick) as he leverages his single, invented name into a worldwide fashion empire that's synonymous with luxury, sex, status and fame, literally defining the era he lives in, 1970's and '80's New York - until a hostile takeover forces him to battle for control of his most precious asset... the name Halston itself." (Deadline.com)
JEFFERIES (NBC) - Betsy Brandt, Darien Sills-Evans and Mike Lane are set to star opposite Jim Jefferies in the comedy pilot. Brandt's is Cleo, "Jim's best friend and mother of his child"; while Sills-Evans and Lane's roles were not specified. (Deadline.com)
LINCOLN LAWYER, THE (CBS) - Jazz Raycole is the latest addition to the Mickey Haller TV series pilot as Izzy, "Mickey's client, a young former addict charged with grand larceny for stealing a necklace to support her habit. Izzy's clean now - a fact that Mickey can relate to - and he not only gets her acquitted but lets her pay off her bill by working as his driver." (Deadline.com)
RIVERDALE (The CW) - Co-stars Skeet Ulrich and Marisol Nichols are exiting the series at the end of the current season. Said showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa: "Part of life in Riverdale - and part of growing up - is saying goodbye to people. I'm grateful to Skeet and Marisol for their incredible work on the show these last four years, and we all wish them well on their future endeavors. F.P. and Hermione will never be far from our hearts. And, of course, they're always welcome back in Riverdale." (TVLine.com, 2/23)
THIS COUNTRY (FOX) - Seann William Scott is the first to be cast in the mockumentary comedy pilot as Father Joe, "a recent transplant from Minneapolis who is doing the best he can with what he's got. Father Joe is a community leader in the Ohio town of Flatch and a father figure to Shrub and Kelly. He tries really hard to remain calm, and although these two often test his patience, he is resolved to stay an optimist and a role model." (Deadline.com)
THREE OF US, THE (CBS) - Oliver Hudson and Malin Akerman have booked two of the title roles on the comedy pilot, about "adult siblings who are children of divorce and must circle the wagons when their sister's husband unexpectedly announces he wants to call it quits on their marriage." Hudson will play Will, "the worrier in the family, he always has been protective of his little brother (TBD) and sister, Ally (Akerman)." Akerman's Ally is "the smart and resilient middle sibling to two brothers. She is thought of as the most "normal" and sensible one in the family but also is plagued with the worst luck."
