DEPUTY (FOX) - The network has pulled the plug on the Stephen Dorff-led drama, which wrapped its freshman run last week. (Deadline.com)
LIGHTS OUT WITH DAVID SPADE (Comedy Central) - The late-night entry, which halted production last month due to the coronavirus pandemic, will not return to the cable channel. Comedy Central Productions will instead look to outside networks and platforms for a new home as the digital version of the series will continue for the next few weeks. (Variety.com)
TINSELTOWN (Spectrum, New!) - Kevin Murphy and William J. Mann are set to team for a period drama based on the latter's bestselling book of the same name, subtitled "Murder, Morphine, and Madness at the Dawn of Hollywood." The project is "set against the seamy, glamorous backdrop of silent film era. It explores the lives of four pioneer women filmmakers whose lives and livelihoods were threatened by a scandalous murder and the brutal patriarchy of Hollywood's nascent studio system." Kapital Entertainment's Aaron Kaplan and Dana Honor and KatCo's Tracy Katsky will also executive produce for Paramount Television Studios. (Deadline.com)
