BETH & SAM (HBO Max, New!) - Emily Wilson and Betsy Thomas are set to team for a single-camera comedy at the streaming service about "a relationship between two women who have every reason "not" to be together - including that one of them is supposedly straight and married." FanFare Productions' Jamie Tarses and That's Wonderful Productions' Jim Parsons and Todd Spiewak will also executive produce for Warner Bros. Television with Eric Norsoph serving as a co-executive producer. (Deadline.com)
BLINDSPOT (NBC) - Creator Martin Gero has closed an overall deal with Universal Television, ending his longtime run at Warner Bros. Television. (Deadline.com)
PHYSICAL (Apple TV+) - Creator Annie Weisman has signed a two-year overall deal with the company. There she'll develop new series projects, including the previously announced Rose Byrne-led dramedy. She was previously set up at Universal Television, home to her short-lived series "Almost Family." (Deadline.com)
QUIBI ORIGINAL SERIES (Quibi) - The streaming service will debut "(This Day in) Useless Celebrity History," hosted by Adam Rippon, on May 4 alongside the previously announced "Reno 911!" revival. The following week, on May 11, look for sports documentary "Blackballed" and the Tyler Cameron-hosted "Barkitecture." Next up on May 18 are the Dave Franco-led comedy "The Now" and the floral design series "Centerpiece." And finally, the Nitro Circus-produced "Life-Size Toys" drops on May 25. (Variety.com)
