ACTION PARK (Hulu, New!) - Andy Mulvihill and Jake Rossen's book, subtitled "Fast Times, Wild Rides, and the Untold Story of America's Most Dangerous Amusement Park," is being developed as a half-hour comedy series by the network. The project is described as "the almost impossible-to-believe story of the legendary, dangerous amusement park where millions were entertained and almost as many bruises were sustained." Jason Winer and Jon Radler of Small Dog Picture Co. are executive producing for 20th Century Fox Television with Mulvhill and Rosen serving as consultants. No writer was indicated. (Variety.com)
CREEPSHOW (Shudder) - The streaming service has ordered a full set of season three scripts for the series. The show's second season was "due to start shooting in March in Atlanta, but was hit by the coronavirus production shutdown which has blighted every single film and series across the country." (Variety.com)
GAMBLER, THE (New!) - Shout! Factory is developing a reboot series based on the late Kenny Rogers's "card-playing, adventure-seeking Brady Hawkes," the focus of five TV movies on CBS over 14 years. No auspices were given. The project will be shopped outside Shout!'s own streaming platform. (Deadline.com)
OH COOK! (Amazon, New!) - "The Grand Tour" star James May and Plum Pictures are reportedly set to team for a new cooking program for the streaming service. The six-episode series has already been filmed. No other details were given. (Deadline.com)
SIESTA KEY (MTV) - Co-star Alex Kompothecras has been fired from the series after racial slurs were posted to his social media account. (@SiestaKey)
TEHRAN (Apple TV+, New!) - The company has signed on to co-produce the Israeli espionage thriller, about "a Mossad agent who goes undercover on a dangerous mission in Tehran that places her and everyone around her in dire jeopardy." Niv Sultan, Shaun Toub, Navid Negahban, Shervin Alenabi, Liraz Charhi and Menashe Noy star in the drama, from Cineflix Rights, which was created by Moshe Zonder, Dana Eden and Maor Kohn.
