ASHLEY GARCIA: GENIUS IN LOVE/THE BIG SHOW SHOW (Netflix) - The streaming service has canceled both multi-camera family sitcoms. Each however will return this December for special stand-alone Christmas episodes filmed during their original runs. (Deadline.com)
BIG WISHES (ABC, New!) - Writer Kristen Bartlett and director James Griffiths are set to team for a single-camera comedy at the Alphabet in which "plenty of charities make wishes come true for sick kids, but Big Wishes asks who's there to fulfill the dreams of dying adults? Karla and her best friend Hyacinth set out to right this wrong and give the 18 and older set a reason to live another day." ABC Signature is behind the half-hour with Tiny Reparations' Phoebe Robinson executive producing alongside Bartlett and Fee-Fi-Fo Films' Griffiths. (Deadline.com)
BREEDERS (FX) - The Martin Freeman-led comedy is the latest to resume production in the U.K. (Variety.com)
CHICAGO FIRE (NBC) - Daniel Kyri's rookie firefighter Darren Ritter will return as a regular during the upcoming ninth season. (Deadline.com)
FELIX EVER AFTER (Amazon, New!) - Kacen Callender's young adult novel - "which tells the story of a transgender teen grappling with identity and self-discovery while falling in love for the first time" - is being developed for TV by Amazon Studios. Will Graham and Hailey Wierengo of Field Trip Productions are the executive producers. (Deadline.com)
FLIGHT ATTENDANT, THE/FOR LIFE (HBO Max/ABC) - Both New York-based series are back in production. The latter started shooting its second season August 26 while the former resumed filming today. (Deadline.com)
NOS4A2 (AMC) - Executive producer Jami O'Brien announced via social media that AMC has pulled the plug on the series after two seasons. (@jami_obrien)
SEX/LIFE (Netflix) - The Sarah Shahi-led drama - about a suburban mother of two who takes a fantasy-charged trip down memory lane that sets her very married present on a collision course with her wild-child past - kicked off production on Monday. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED JARED GENSER PROJECT (Amazon, New!) - Orlando Bloom is developing a TV series at Amazon Studios about human rights lawyer Jared Genser, "who has helped free political prisoners in a number of hot zones around the world." Bloom will executive produce the project via his Amazing Owl Productions banner alongside TrueNorth Media's Bruce Richmond. No writer was indicated. Genser himself will receive a co-executive producer credit. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED WOODSTOCK '99 PROJECT (Netflix, New!) - Raw TV and BBH Entertainment are set to team for a documentary series about "the infamous Woodstock '99 music festival, a four-day event designed to celebrate the 30-year anniversary of the original 1969 Woodstock festival that ended in fiery chaos." Production is underway on the project. No other auspices were given. (Deadline.com)
