ALEX RIDER (IMDb TV) - A proposed second season of the series is slated to begin a 22-week shoot from January 25 in Bristol, South West England. No official pickup however has been announced. (Deadline.com)
CASTLE ROCK (Hulu) - The streaming service has canceled its Stephen King anthology series after two seasons. (Deadline.com)
RIG, THE (Amazon, New!) - Writer David Macpherson and director John Strickland have received the green light for a six-part series, "which is set onboard the Kishorn Bravo oil rig, stationed off the Scottish coast in the dangerous waters of the North Sea. When the crew is due to return to the mainland, a mysterious and all-enveloping fog rolls through and they find themselves cut off from all communication with the shore and the outside world. As they endeavor to discover what's driving this force, bonds are broken, allegiances formed and generational fault lines exposed." Wild Mercury Productions is behind the project with Strickland and Derek Wax executive producing. Meg Salter and Matthew Jacobs Morgan are also serving as writers. (Deadline.com)
WALKING DEAD, THE (AMC) - Hilarie Burton Morgan will join her real-life husband Jeffrey Dean Morgan on the series, playing his character Negan's wife Lucille in a recurring role. (@HilarieBurton)
