STARZ CASTS RENOWNED ACTOR LUIS GUZMÁN TO GUEST STAR IN CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED HIT CRIME DRAMA "HIGHTOWN" SEASON TWO

CREATOR REBECCA CUTTER MAKES HER TELEVISION DIRECTORIAL DEBUT AND MONICA RAYMUND IS TAPPED TO DIRECT

JONA XIAO, CHARLINE ST. CHARLES AND DOMINIC L. SANTANA ALSO CAST IN GUEST-STAR ROLES

Santa Monica, Calif. - November 19, 2020 - Starz announced today that renowned actor Luis Guzmán is set to guest star in the second season of the critically acclaimed crime drama "Hightown" from Emmy(R) Award-winner Jerry Bruckheimer (Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, Top Gun: Maverick, "The Amazing Race") and Lionsgate Television. Production is currently underway on the ten-episode second season of the series created by Rebecca Cutter ("Gotham"), who will make her television directorial debut this season and recently entered an overall television deal with Lionsgate. Academy Award(R)-nominated filmmaker Rachel Morrison (Mudbound, Fruitvale Station) will return to direct two episodes and lead actress Monica Raymund ("Chicago Fire," "The Good Wife"), Dawn Wilkinson ("Empire"), Radium Cheung ("The Sinner") and Eagle Egilsson ("The Wire") are also tapped to direct this season.

"I'm so in love with this cast and the way they brought my vision to life in Season One," said Cutter. "Now I feel inspired to create in a whole new way, through directing. I will be learning from some of the best in the business - Rachel Morrison and Monica Raymund - and I can't wait to showcase Cape Cod in a new light as we focus on the off-season. We are thrilled to be back in production and bringing you the next chapter in this story."

Luis Guzmán (Traffic, "Code Black") joins in a guest-star role as Jorge Cuevas, Frankie's charmingly hilarious but deadly cousin. Also joining the cast are guest stars Jona Xiao (Gifted, "Being Mary Jane") as Daisy, Charline St. Charles ("The Resident," Den of Thieves) as Henriette, and Dominic L. Santana (All Eyez on Me, "Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac and the Notorious B.I.G.") as Chuleta. Monica Raymund, James Badge Dale ("24," The Kitchen), Riley Voelkel ("Roswell, New Mexico," "The Originals"), Amaury Nolasco ("Prison Break," "Deception"), Atkins Estimond ("The Resident," "Lodge 49") and Dohn Norwood ("Mindhunter," "The Sinner") all return in their previous roles.

About "Hightown" Season Two

The second season of "Hightown" picks up about six weeks after the events in the Season One finale, around Halloween, in Cape Cod's desolate, cold but still achingly beautiful off-season. The tourists are gone, and all of our characters are in a different place compared to where they were at the beginning of Season One. The weak are now powerful, and the powerful are now weak. But beyond that, there is darkness beneath the surface of all of our main characters, particularly Jackie and Ray. Both have shadow sides of their personality - holes in their souls that they try to fill with drugs, alcohol, women, ambition and work. There's a new terror on The Cape, and it may be its greatest White Whale yet...

Rebecca Cutter created the series and serves as executive producer with Jerry Bruckheimer, Jonathan Littman ("Lucifer," "The Amazing Race," "CSI" franchise) and KristieAnne Reed ("Lucifer," "L.A.'s Finest") from Jerry Bruckheimer TV. Gary Lennon ("Power," "Euphoria") serves as an executive producer and writer, along with Ellen H. Schwartz (Pretty Woman, Miss Congeniality), who serves as executive producer. "Hightown" is a STARZ Originals production in association with Jerry Bruckheimer Television and Lionsgate Television.

"Hightown" will be available on STARZ in the U.S. and Canada, also airing day and date on the Starzplay International streaming service across Europe, Latin America and Japan.
