NETFLIX CONFIRMS NEW KOREAN ORIGINAL SERIES PAIK'S SPIRIT, PARTNERING WITH PAIK JONG-WON, A RENOWNED RESTAURATEUR & F&B ENTREPRENEUR

SEOUL, Dec 4, 2020 - Netflix, the world's leading streaming entertainment service, has announced that it will produce a new Korean original series Paik's Spirit featuring Paik Jong-won, a renowned restaurateur and F&B entrepreneur.

In the newly announced Korean Original Series, Paik Jong-won will sit down with Korea's top celebrities and professionals for dining and drinking, and exchange intriguing and heartwarming stories of drinking and life. Paik's Spirit promises to provide viewers a unique introduction to Korean's traditional liquor, food and culture. Soju - in its characteristic green bottle that stands at the center of Korean wine and spirits traditions - will be featured, along with commercial and craft beer, rice wines and other traditional liquors. The show's focus on uniquely Korean drinks will appeal to viewers in Korea and beyond.

Paik is well known for his gift of gab and charming manner that has delighted Korean audiences for years. As Korea's top restaurateur and F&B entrepreneur, Paik Jong-won is loved by audiences from his shows Home Food Rescue and Street Food Fighter.

Paik's Spirit is co-directed by Park Hee-yeon, Lee Eun-kyung, Kwak Chung-a and Lee Jong-hyuk. They have already worked together with Paik on his shows Home Food Rescue and Street Food Fighter. This talented production crew is known for bringing to life novel ideas and insightful content. Now they will present stories about the people who make Korean liquors and the people who drink them in a style that is sure to intrigue.

With this new show, Paik Jong-won moves out of the kitchen and ventures into new territories and tastes, whether they be brewed, fermented or distilled. Paik's Spirit will stream to viewers in over 190 countries only on Netflix.
